🍿✨ Oreo Popcorn
Sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy — the dangerously addictive snack you’ll be making on repeat.
Three ingredients, one bowl, and zero self‑control — this Oreo Popcorn is the snack you’ll be dreaming about long after the credits roll
Let’s talk about the kind of snack that doesn’t just satisfy a craving — it creates one. The kind that makes your kitchen smell like a movie theater, a candy shop, and a cozy family night all at once. The kind that makes your family wander in asking, “WHAT is that smell?” even though you literally just popped popcorn and melted chocolate like the domestic goddess you are.
This Oreo Popcorn is exactly that kind of recipe.
It’s sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy, chocolatey, cookie‑studded, and unapologetically irresistible. It’s the kind of snack that makes people close their eyes on the first bite and whisper, “Oh… oh wow.”
This recipe is a celebration of simple ingredients doing the absolute most:
- Butter popcorn for salty crunch
- Oreos for cookies‑and‑cream magic
- White chocolate for silky sweetness
It’s the kind of recipe that works for movie nights, parties, holidays, birthdays, sleepovers, neighbor gifts, or those “I need something delicious RIGHT NOW” moments.
Why this popcorn deserves a permanent spot in your rotation:
- It’s EASY — shockingly easy
- It’s FAST — done in minutes
- It’s CROWD‑PLEASING — picky eaters don’t stand a chance
- It’s MAKE‑AHEAD FRIENDLY — stays fresh for days
- It’s INSTAGRAM‑READY — cookies + chocolate drizzle = perfection
💬 Reader prompt: Are you team “extra Oreos” or team “extra chocolate drizzle”?
My kids have always LOVED popcorn! We have tried several kinds of variations of popcorn on steroids but this one is addicting.
I always try new recipes on the Young Women of our ward and at first, they thought it was normal popcorn. Once they tried it, they couldn’t stop eating it and they were fighting over the leftovers.
So this is Young Women approved! Super easy and great for a quick family treat.
Oreo Popcorn
Ingredients:
2 bags of microwave popcorn, popped (I use the butter kind)
1 package of Oreos, coarsely chopped
1 bag of Ghirardelli white chocolate chips
Oreo Popcorn
🍽 Directions
Step 1: Pop the Popcorn
- Pop both bags of popcorn.
- Pour into a large bowl.
- Remove unpopped kernels unless you enjoy dental emergencies.
Step 2: Add the Oreos
- Chop Oreos into chunks.
- Add to popcorn.
- Try not to eat half the bowl before the chocolate goes on.
Step 3: Melt the Chocolate
- Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave in 20‑second intervals.
- Stir until smooth and glossy.
Step 4: Combine
- Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn + Oreos.
- Toss gently to coat.
- Spread on parchment to set.
Step 5: Serve
- Break into clusters.
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container.
- Prepare for applause.
