I had always wanted to make banana bread with my browning bananas but I thought it would be a long process. The other day I was finally like I’m just going to do it.
I looked up a recipe and found out the banana bread secret: it’s so easy!! This recipe is sooo delicious because the bread turns out gooey on the inside and crisp on the outside. Mmm Mmm Mmm!!
Banana bread is the universal love language of the kitchen. It’s cozy. It’s nostalgic. It’s forgiving. It’s the culinary equivalent of a warm hug and a “you’re doing amazing, sweetie.”
And THIS banana bread? This one is:

- Moist
- Sweet
- Comforting

- And so easy it should honestly be illegal
It’s the kind of recipe that makes your house smell like heaven, your family think you’re a baking goddess, and your bananas feel like they finally fulfilled their destiny.

🍌 THE INGREDIENTS (AKA: THE DREAM TEAM)
You only need a handful of pantry staples — and the bananas you forgot about.
- 3–4 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
Playful aside: If your bananas are so ripe they look like they’ve given up on life, they’re PERFECT.
🔥🍞 HOW TO MAKE EASY GOOEY BANANA BREAD (THE SASSY, CONFIDENT VERSION)
✔️ Step 1: Mash your bananas
Mash them like you’re releasing all your stress. Mash them like they owe you money. Mash them until they’re smooth and glorious.
✔️ Step 2: Add melted butter
Stir it in. Watch it get glossy. Feel like a baking influencer.
✔️ Step 3: Mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla
This is where the magic starts. Your batter is officially becoming a personality.
✔️ Step 4: Add baking soda + salt
These two tiny ingredients? They’re the unsung heroes.
✔️ Step 5: Add flour LAST
Fold gently. Don’t overmix. We want gooey, not gummy.
✔️ Step 6: Bake at 350°F for one hour
Your house will smell like a bakery. Your neighbors will be jealous. Your family will start hovering.

🛒 GROCERY HACKS (BECAUSE YOU LOVE A SHORTCUT)

- Let them dump ingredients
- Let them stir (carefully)

Ironically I just bought bananas, to ripen for bread or muffins, today/
That looks yummy!
I have a hard time eating a whole banana by itself but banana bread is one of my favorites! {:-D
That looks and sounds delicious. I have an old family recipe that's almost identical, but in place of the butter, it uses sour cream. I don't always have sour cream, but I always have butter. Thanks for posting this recipe. Now, I won't have to run to the store for sour cream every time I want to whip up banana bread.
Oh that sounds delicious!! I'll have to try that!
That does sound easy. Will have to try♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/embossed/

Oh what wicked post!
I haven't had banana bread in so long.
This looks absolutely exceptional and so easy!
I'm going to be debating with myself to bake this or not!
I do have some brown bananas…
Hmmm.
Thanks for an excellent link to the letter E.
A+
going to bake this tonight!
my tip is to reduce the sugar a little and add broken up dark chocolate!
Just made it, not bad. Didnt turn out shiny and gooey like the image but still good
looks yummy! fresh and healthy
did you use a glass or metal baking pan? i am using glass and reduced the heat to 325… we shall see! i’ve heard you’re supposed to bake more slowly when using pyrex? well here we go lol
usually glass will need less time. Let us know how it turned out!
I’ve used your recipe tons of times already, and my whole family loves it, I had to go out, and buy more loaf pans, because I literally have to make like 3 loaves at a time, because one loaf would only last for 2 days!! I noticed that if I used 4 bananas instead of 3, it was wayyyyy more gooey, which was so yummy. And also, when I was in a time crunch, I took it out 10 mins early, and it was like, super gooey, which wasn’t necesarily a bad thing, I just felt like I was biting into batter, but it was still yummy!! love this recipe, you did great job
That is so good to hear! Thank you!
I made this with a mini loaf pans and they turned out great!
We love hearing that!
Making this luscious banana bread right now! It is baking and I cannot wait for an hour to be up so I can taste this wonderful recipe. I also added a half a cup of chopped walnuts! Thank you so much for this recipe.
THIS ROCKS! HOW MANY YEARS have I been looking for a recipe crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside without 800 ingredients. Just like Bob Evans Banana Bread. I made mini loaves and cooked it 30 minutes and it was 5 minutes too long in my opinion, but good enough that I will keep playing with the time. THANK YOU!
Thank you! We love hearing that!
A very excellent recipe, however, you should tell the readers what to bake this recipe in. I use a glass dish that is about 3 inches high, about 6 x3.
thanks for letting me know!
What’s the nutrition content for this?
I’m sorry, I’m not sure
This bread looks really yummy. I am searching for some bread to do while we are under quarantine and found this. Thank you. I will try this one.
it’s so moist and so fun to make
It was easy and it was gooey–everyone loved it.
I love hearing that!
