Banana Poke Cake has everything you will find in a pie but made into a cake. It has layers Of  Cake, Pudding, Cream, Bananas, And Vanilla Wafers, everyone will be licking their plates to make sure to get every last crumb!

Poke cakes are so easy and make! It looks like you have been cooking all day but truth is that it came together in minutes!  We have made so many different versions and they are all a big hit at our table!  Some of our favorites are Orange Creamsicle Poke CakeStrawberry Poke Cake, and Oreo Poke Cake

 

 

Banana Poke Cake

Ingredients:

Cooking spray, for pan
1 box yellow cake mix, plus ingredients called for on the box
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 small boxes white chocolate pudding mix
3 c. milk
1 small tube of Cool Whip
5 bananas
20 Nilla Wafers, crushed

 

Directions:

Make the cake: Preheat oven to 350º and grease a 9″-x-13″ cake pan. Prepare yellow cake mix according to box instructions. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and 3 mashed bananas to cake mix. Combine well. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 to 34 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare pudding: In a small bowl, whisk together pudding packets and milk until thick.
 
Using the handle tip of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake. Spread pudding mixture on top of the cake, and make sure the pudding fills the holes. Next, top with a layer of banana slices over the pudding. Spread cool whip on top and sprinkle all over with crushed Nilla Wafers and more banana slices.
