Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Hello my new friend! These Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents are perfect for any occasion. The rich, creamy sausage filling is a perfect combination of yumminess!

 

 

 

Ever since I have been married I have made crescent rolls with a chicken filling. I thought I was really fancy back then and my kids loved them. This a variation of that recipe. It’s like the sassy child has come home to visit!

 

The creamy goodness of the cream cheese, cheddar, and green onions, compliment the sausage filling. Then you take this bad boy up a notch with the everything bagel seasoning, and you will be having a party in your mouth!

This is a great recipe for breakfast or brunch but heck, it would be great for dinner, as well.

 

 

 

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • PROTEIN: You can swap out the sausage for bacon or even ham. You can also add a half a cup of diced bell pepper,
  • CHEESE: I used cheddar cheese but a pepper jack or swiss could be a good choice.
  • FREEZER MEAL: After you cook these and let them cool, you can put them in an airtight container and freeze them. You can pull them out one at a time and reheat them in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1lb. sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 to 4 green onions, diced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white
  • Everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Start cooking your sausage. Let cool. Place sausage in a bowl, add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, salt and pepper. mix together until cream cheese.

  3. Roll out crescent rolls and place a spoon full of cooked sausage and cream cheese into each roll and roll it up. Place each roll onto a prepared baking sheet. Brush on the egg whites on each roll and then generously sprinkle the Everything bagel on top of each of them.

  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes Your crescent rolls should be nice and golden brown and cooked all the way though.
