French Toast Puffs
No need for a fork, these French Toast Puffs beg for finger attention! This is a fun alternative to traditional French Toast, and dare I say addictive?
We are lovers or French Toast in our house! We love when we get the chance to dive into a French Toast casserole, French Toast Sticks, and the list goes on. You get the idea!
We have realized that French toast just for breakfast but makes a great dinner idea! I have taken so many French Toast Casseroles for Cheer team luncheons! They are a never fail kind of recipe.
This recipe is so, so, so easy! The great thing is that you can make these ahead of time and they will be perfect! Heck, make them ahead and freeze them for another time! If you decide to freeze them, let them cool, and then put the puffs in an airtight container. They should stay good for 2 to 3 months.
- 2 cups unseasoned Panko bread crumbs
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsps vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- cooking spray
- granulated sugar
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover your mini muffin tin with cooking spray and coat with granulated sugar. In a bowl mix the bread crumbs with sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and milk, until combine well.
- Let batter sit for 10 minutes to let the bread crumbs soak up the liquids. Place a scoop of batter in each hole and cook for 20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle with maple syrup.
If you don't have a mini muffin pan, you can use a donut hole maker, deep fry the batter, or use a bigger pan for bigger puffs!
