Best Parmesan Chicken Marinade
This is the best parmesan chicken marinade ever. It’s literally the best!
Honestly, working, cooking, cleaning, homework and hanging out with the cute kids can be exhausting. This is easy, throw it into a ziploc bag, then back in the fridge. It was an awesome healthy option for dinner!
We love having chicken and rice, one of the few things all my kids will consistently eat. They ate like three pieces of this chicken, ate rice and veggies and then we went to Costco and they still wanted pizza and hot dogs. They must be growing. Anyways, we loved this, there were no leftovers.
- 2 lb chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 3 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 2 ounces Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Trim any excess fat, rib meat, connective tissues, or loose pieces of chicken meat from the breasts.
Combine the ingredients for the marinade in a gallon sized zip top bag and add the trimmed chicken to the marinade. Press any air out of the bag and seal tightly. Massage the dressing around the chicken breasts. Refrigerate for 4-8 hours.
When you’re ready to cook, preheat your pan to 350 degrees F with two-zone heat.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and lightly shake off any excess marinade.
Cook until the internal temperature reads 160 degrees F with an instant read thermometer. This step typically takes 25-30 minutes, but will vary based on stove temperature, meat thickness, etc. This is why a good thermometer is crucial.
- Remove the chicken breasts to a plate and cover immediately with foil. Allow the chicken to rest, covered, for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
