Grey goes to Kindergarten next year and he is very excited to say the least. He has had some great experiences with preschool at daycare and at the high school preschool and he ready. However, I like to work with him on stuff still over the summer so that we can improve on his skills and also cut back on screen time as well as fights between brothers.

Grey thinks he’s too old to play with Sawyer and Sawyer just wants to do everything Grey is doing all the time. I’m sure you guys have experienced this with your kids.

A few things that Grey needs to work on is holding a pen/crayon in this case and I think the more he does this the better he will get. With Grey if I correct him too much he shuts down and says it’s too hard. We also need to work on his scissor cutting.

With this activity I drew dots on a page and told him to connect the dots with the same color the dots are. Then I had him count the dots and write the number in the shape. Then he had to tell me each shape.

After he finished drawing then he cut out the shapes with his scissors. Then we colored them however he wanted.

I got the butcher paper on amazon, this has seriously been the best purchase of my life. We use it 4 to 5 times a week with projects, or just to put down under projects. It’s awesome. I also thought I had sticker dots, but I had run out, but I recommend getting those too. For this you can just draw the dots like I did, and crayons. This project is super simple and actually kept them entertained for about an hour.
