With a creamy vanilla ice cream base and fresh-squeezed sweetened lemon juice, this is a refreshing frozen beverage perfect for hot summer days.
How To Make Frosted Lemonade
Lemonade Mixture – You’ll need to start by first making the lemonade mixture. Mix the water, sugar and lemon juice together and giving it a good stir until it’s fully mixed.
Chill – I like to let the mixture chill before making the frosted lemonade. I’ll put it in the freezer for about 45 minutes until it’s nice and cold.
Blend – For each serving of the frosted lemonade, you’ll want to add 1 cup of the lemonade mixture along with 4 (about 1 1/2 cups) scoops of ice cream to the blender. Blend it until it’s nice and smooth and then serve it immediately.
1 cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Sugar
2 1/2 cups Water
Vanilla Ice Cream
Add lemon juice and sugar to pitcher.
If you are using bottled lemon juice, increase amount to 1 1/2 cups.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add water and stir until well mixed.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour to chill.
Add 1 cup chilled lemonade and 2 cups (about 4 scoops) ice cream to blender. If you want it thicker add more ice cream.
Pour into cup and garnish with lemon slice.
