Peanut Butter Brookie
🍪🍫 Best Peanut Butter Brookie — The Dessert That Can’t Decide… and That’s Why We Love It
When peanut butter cookies and fudgy brownies fall in love, you get a Peanut Butter Brookie — and trust me, it’s a match made in dessert heaven.

Some desserts are easy to define. A cookie is a cookie. A brownie is a brownie. But then there are those glorious hybrids that refuse to be put in a box — and that’s where the Peanut Butter Brookie comes in.
It’s the ultimate dessert power couple: soft, chewy peanut butter cookie dough snuggled up against rich, fudgy brownie batter, with melty chocolate chips and chunks of Reese’s Cups making cameo appearances in every bite. It’s sweet, salty, chocolatey, peanut-buttery bliss.
This is the dessert you make when you can’t decide between cookies or brownies… or when you just want to impress people without spending hours in the kitchen. It’s easy, it’s indulgent, and it’s the kind of treat that disappears from the plate faster than you can say, “Who wants seconds?”
And because I know you love a little extra, I’m also giving you my go-to pizza crust and garlic sticks recipe so you can turn dessert night into a full-on comfort food celebration.
So grab your mixing bowls, preheat that oven, and let’s make something that will have everyone asking for the recipe before they’ve even finished their first square.
My daughter loves brownies and usually she will make brownies at least twice a week! I love brownies but I also love cookies. This is the best of both worlds.
These little bars have so much flavor and it will satisfy any sweet tooth craving. I seriously think that homemade treats like these are SO much better than what you can buy at any cookie store!

🧑🍳 Cooking Tips
- Don’t Overbake: Brookies are best when they’re still a little gooey in the center.
- Swirl Smart: Use a butter knife to gently swirl the batters together — too much mixing and you’ll lose the marbled effect.
- Chill for Clean Cuts: If you want perfect squares, chill the brookies before slicing.
- Mix-Ins Galore: Swap Reese’s for peanut butter M&Ms, chopped Snickers, or even pretzels for a salty crunch.
🎨 Recipe Variations
- Nut-Free: Use sunflower seed butter and swap Reese’s for chocolate chunks.
- Double Chocolate: Add ½ cup extra cocoa powder to the brownie layer for an ultra-rich version.
- Holiday Twist: Add red and green M&Ms for Christmas, pastel ones for Easter, or candy corn for Halloween.
- Salted Caramel: Drizzle caramel sauce over the top before baking and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
👩👧 Kid Tips
- Let kids sprinkle the extra chocolate chips and Reese’s on top — they’ll feel like dessert decorators.
- Give them a small bowl of each batter to make their own “mini brookies” in muffin tins.
- Have them guess which layer they’ll like more — cookie or brownie — and then watch them change their minds after the first bite.
🛒 Grocery Hacks
- Stock up on peanut butter and chocolate chips during sales — they last for months.
- Buy Reese’s Cups in bulk and freeze them — they chop easier when cold.
- Store-brand cocoa powder works just as well as name brand.
- Use parchment paper for easy removal — no more prying brookies out of the pan.

💭 Final Thoughts
Peanut Butter Brookies are proof that sometimes, you really can have it all. They’re rich, chewy, chocolatey, peanut-buttery, and just the right amount of over-the-top. They’re also ridiculously easy to make, which means you can whip them up whenever the craving strikes — and trust me, it will strike often.
It’s the kind of dessert that makes people linger in the kitchen, fork in hand, telling “just one more” story before they head home. And honestly? That’s my favorite kind of recipe.
So here we are — you, me, and a dessert that refuses to choose between cookie and brownie. Peanut Butter Brookies aren’t just a treat; they’re a celebration of flavor, texture, and the joy of saying, “Why not both?”
I hope you’ll take this recipe, make it your own, and share it with the people who make your kitchen the happiest place in the house. And when you do, I want to see it — your twists, your plating, your “oops, I ate half before taking a photo” moments. That’s what makes this little community so much fun.
So go ahead — preheat that oven, swirl those batters, and let’s make something wonderful together. Because at the end of the day, the best recipes aren’t just about the food… they’re about the joy we mix in along the way.
