The most sensational Oreo Pancakes Recipe (or Cookies and Cream Pancakes) you have ever witnessed… or tasted!
Life has been a little stressful lately with everything that is going on in the world. So, with that being said, I think we are all in the need of a small celebration!
These were so simple – you just mix up your batter and put the batter on the griddle. After that, you just assemble your masterpiece with lots of Oreo pieces, Cool Whip, and a drizzle of chocolate topping!
This makes for a very sweet breakfast so you’ll definitely need a glass of milk. If you want something lighter, top your Oreo pancakes with whipped cream or powdered sugar. Want a healthier version? Top your Oreo pancakes with vanilla Greek yogurt.
In truth, you can eat them plain. They’re that good. Almost like eating a warm brownie. I did have a glass of milk with mine. The perfect combination.
This also would be a great dessert for any occasion!
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder. Whisk to combine. In a separate large bowl, combine milk, egg, and butter and whisk until combined. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined, making sure not to over mix. (Some lumps are OK!)
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon butter. Pour about 1/4-cup pancake batter onto the pan, spreading it out evenly. When a lip forms around the edge of the pancake and little bubbles appear, flip and continue cooking on the other side (about 1-2 minutes per side).
- To serve, layer pancakes with whipped cream, Oreos, and top with a dollop of whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and a chocolate drizzle.
