Sausage and Bacon Breakfast Gravy! I’m a big fan of biscuits and gravy for breakfast and quite honestly that is the only thing I will order when I go out to breakfast. So it stands to reason that we are always trying to create the perfect gravy.
This one might just do it! It’s not your momma’s breakfast gravy. It’s over-the-top sausage and bacon breakfast gravy!
You will be licking the pan to get every last drop of this! Yes, it’s that good!
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 2 to 3 slices of bacon
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 12 baked biscuits, (you can use your favorite recipe or you can use store bought)
- In a large skillet, combine the sausage, bacon, onion, and garlic. Cook over a medium heat, until the sausage is browned and crumbles.
- Stir in flour, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in the cream and milk.
- Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened. Stir in butter until melted.
