Honey Garlic Shrimp Tacos with Creamy Cilantro Dressing

1/4 c. Butter
3 Cloves of Garlic
1/4 c. Honey
1/4 c. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Seasoned Salt
1 Lime (juiced)
2 Pounds of Cooked Shrimp
Corn Tortillas
Shredded Cabbage
Tomatoes, Avocado, and Lime for Garnish

Directions:

Melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan, add garlic and sauté until garlic becomes fragrant. Don’t burn the garlic! Add honey, brown sugar, salt, and lime juice. Simmer until sauce starts to thicken. Add cooked shrimp to the sauce and heat them through. Don’t overcook the shrimp or they become tough.
Build your taco with either corn or flour tortillas, shredded cabbage, shrimp, avocado, cilantro, tomatoes, and a squeeze of lime. Then drizzle our Creamy Cilantro Dressing over the top!

  1. Yum – the perfect combination of flavours to make the shrimp come to life! Fabulous dish. Visiting from Pieced Pastimes – thanks for sharing.

  2. Boy, just looking at your photo makes me hungry, and I do love tacos of any kind. All I need is the shrimp and that could be tonight's dinner.

  3. I love shrimp tacos. With a garlic, honey, lime flavor they sound fantastic. The creamy cilantro dressing sounds great too (I would probably use sour cream instead of mayo though…not a fan of mayo). I have some shrimp and corn tortillas in the fridge now maybe I'll try this. Thanks for sharing with us at Great Idea Thursdays
