☕🍬 Sugar Cone Tea Cups
Adorable, edible, chocolate‑dipped tea cups made from simple ingredients — and guaranteed to steal the show.
Cute enough to make you squeal and easy enough to make in your sleep — these Sugar Cone Tea Cups are the treat you didn’t know you needed.
Let’s talk about the kind of treat that doesn’t just sit politely on a platter — it poses for photos. The kind that makes people hover awkwardly close to the dessert table because they “just need to look at them again.” The kind that makes your kitchen smell like chocolate and childhood joy all at once. The kind that makes your family wander in asking, “WHAT are those?!” even though you literally just dipped a cone in chocolate like the domestic goddess you are.
These Sugar Cone Tea Cups are exactly that kind of recipe.
They’re cute, whimsical, chocolate‑dipped, peanut‑buttery, crunchy, sweet, and unapologetically irresistible. They’re the kind of treat that makes people close their eyes on the first bite and whisper, “Oh… oh wow.”
This recipe is a celebration of simple ingredients doing the absolute most:
- Keebler Fudge Stripes cookies for the perfect saucer
- Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups for the base
- Sugar cones for the cup
- Circle pretzels for the handle
- Chocolate candy melts for the glue that holds the magic together
It’s the kind of recipe that works for birthday parties, tea parties, baby showers, bridal showers, school events, church socials, or those “I need something adorable RIGHT NOW” moments.
Why these tea cups deserve a permanent spot in your rotation:
- They’re EASY — shockingly easy
- They’re FAST — ready in minutes
- They’re CROWD‑PLEASING — kids and adults lose their minds
- They’re MAKE‑AHEAD FRIENDLY — no melting, no collapsing
- They’re INSTAGRAM‑READY — like, viral‑ready
💬 Reader prompt: Are you team “eat them immediately” or team “display them like edible art”?
I’m getting so excited for spring and Easter! Everything seems so new and fresh and outdoor activities are endless. I have always loved having picnics with my kids and tea parties with my cute girls!
Last month, I was asked to do a food demonstration at enrichment night. I was thrilled to be asked but didn’t realize how big of a task it was going to be since Zac’s wedding had been two days before! I never can do just one thing, so I always make it a harder task than it has to be. I’m a little crazy!
I was so excited to make these because they are so darn cute and I love the idea that you get to eat the whole thing! The best thing is there is no baking! Can imagine serving this at a bridal shower, baby shower, or fun tea party with your cuties.
Sugar Cone Tea Cups
Ingredients:
- Keebler Fudge Stripes cookies
- Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups
- ice cream sugar cones
- circle pretzels
- chocolate candy melts
Sugar Cone Tea Cups
Directions:
- FYI: Have everything unwrapped, cut, and ready to assemble. This will make it so much easier to put them together.
- Cut the sugar cones to 1 1/2 inches. Use a serrated knife, and slowly saw back and forth to avoid breaking the cone. Make sure the cone’s seam is on the bottom and not where you are cutting the cone. I broke a couple at first but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy.
- Using your serrated knife, slowly cut your pretzels to make a circle handle.
- Place your chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in 30-second intervals and stirring in between until the chocolate is melted.
- Start with the cookie and then put a dab of the melted chocolate in the center.
- Place an unwrapped mini peanut butter cup on top of the chocolate that is on the cookie.
- Put the cut ice cream cone on top of Reese’s cup. I took a little extra chocolate and dabbed it inside to seal the seams.
- Dip the ends of the pretzel cut off edges and attach it to the side of the ice cream cone. You will need to hold it in place for a few seconds so the chocolate will set.
- Fill it with your favorite filling. We made pudding but it would taste amazing with cheesecake! This tastes best served the same day as the day you prepare it.

💭 Final Thoughts
These Sugar Cone Tea Cups are everything you want in a treat: cute, fun, whimsical, nostalgic, cozy, and ridiculously satisfying. They’re the kind of recipe that brings people together, sparks conversation, and makes everyone feel like they’re part of the fun.
Here’s the thing about Sugar Cone Tea Cups: they’re never just treats. They’re an experience. A vibe. A whole mood.
They’re the kind of dessert that invites you to slow down, savor, and enjoy. They’re nostalgic, comforting, and endlessly adorable — the perfect canvas for creativity in the kitchen.
And these Sugar Cone Tea Cups are the kind that become a tradition. The kind your family requests again and again. The kind you make for birthdays, holidays, tea parties, or “just because we deserve something cute and cozy” moments.
But what I love most is how recipes like this build community. They bring people together around the table, spark laughter, inspire creativity, and remind us that food is more than fuel — it’s connection. It’s joy. It’s the little moment in the day when everyone pauses, gathers, and enjoys something delicious together.
So here’s your mission: Make these tea cups, share them with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you add sprinkles Did you go chocolate‑dipped Did you double the peanut butter cups (I support this fully.)
💬 Reader prompt: Should we do a “Cute Party Treat Series” next — edible spoons, cookie cups, or brownie pops
Until then, may your chocolate be melty, your cones uncracked, your pretzels perfect, your cookies sturdy, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings. Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about crafting — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.
And if you take nothing else from this post, let it be this: Sugar Cone Tea Cups aren’t just treats — they’re a lifestyle. ☕🍬✨

Hi! My name is Ashley and today is my first link party day! I found this post on http://www.create-with-joy.com's link party. This idea is so cute! I've also seen some people bake cupcakes in cake cones. If there's a way to keep sugar cones standing up in the oven, you could have teacup cupcakes! 🙂
