Peanut Butter M&M Cookies
🍪 Chocolate Chip & Peanut Butter M&M Cookies — The Sweetest Way to Make Friends (and Keep Them!)
If happiness had a smell, it would be a tray of these cookies coming out of the oven.

The Cookie That Started It All
There’s something about a homemade cookie that just stops time for a second. Maybe it’s the way the butter and sugar cream together into something magical. Maybe it’s the smell that drifts through the house, pulling kids (and husbands) into the kitchen like moths to a flame. Or maybe it’s the fact that cookies are the universal love language — no translation needed.
This particular recipe is my go‑to when I want maximum smiles with minimal fuss. It’s the perfect marriage of soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies and the peanut‑buttery crunch of M&M’s. They’re colorful enough to look like a party, but easy enough to whip up on a random Tuesday night.
And let’s be honest — there’s no wrong time for cookies.
We have been potty training Ellie the last couple of weeks and she responds to chocolate really well. The boys are loving it too! The thing that motivates Ellie is missing out on things, so we have been giving the boys candy every time they go to the restroom and she wants candy too.
We just tell her go potty and she will do it immediately for Peanut Butter M&M’s it’s actually amazing. We bought a big tub from Costco and I decided we needed cookies for PTC tonight and so I stole a cup for some cookies tonight.
They turned out great! Also, the cookie dough tastes great if you’re into that kind of thing. Just be aware it has eggs in it. Try at your own risk. Give this recipe a try!

💡 Cookie‑Baking Tips for Sweet Success
- Room Temperature Butter – Softened, not melted, for the perfect texture.

🪄 Why These Cookies Are My Secret Weapon
These cookies are the dessert equivalent of a warm hug. They’re colorful enough to make kids squeal, indulgent enough to impress guests, and easy enough to make on a whim.
They also freeze beautifully — both the dough and the baked cookies — so you can have fresh‑baked happiness on demand.
🧠 Fun Cookie Facts
- The chocolate chip cookie was invented in 1938 by Ruth Wakefield.
- Americans eat over 2 billion cookies a year.
- The average homemade cookie is eaten in under 2 minutes (and I think that’s generous).
🏆 Final Thoughts
If you’ve been looking for a cookie that’s equal parts chewy, chocolatey, and peanut‑buttery, this is it. They’re the kind of treat that makes people linger in the kitchen, “just evening out the edges” of the cookie plate.
So here’s my challenge to you: make these cookies this week. Share them with your neighbors, your coworkers, or just keep them all to yourself (I won’t tell).
Because sometimes, the best way to turn an ordinary day into something special is with a warm cookie in your hand and a smile on your face.
