Jack Daniels Burger Copycat

Sweet, Smoky, Sticky, Juicy, and Fully Committed to Flavor

Jack Daniels Burger Copycat

Let’s establish something right out of the gate: burgers are not all the same. Some are fine. Some are forgettable. And then there are burgers that make you stop mid-bite, stare at the ceiling, and quietly rethink every burger you’ve ever eaten before.

This Jack Daniels Burger Copycat lives firmly in that last category.

This is a big, bold, steakhouse-style burger built with intention. It’s not rushed. It’s not timid. It’s layered, sticky, smoky, sweet, salty, and unapologetically rich. The glaze alone deserves its own fan club—and when you combine it with juicy sirloin, crispy bacon, melty muenster cheese, and toasted buns? Game over.

Why this burger works:

  • The Jack Daniels glaze balances sweet, savory, and heat

  • Ground sirloin brings rich beef flavor without greasiness

  • Bacon adds crunch and smoke

  • Muenster cheese melts like a dream

  • No mayo needed because the glaze handles all the moisture

This is a burger for:
✔ Grill nights
✔ Special occasions
✔ Impressing guests
✔ Treat-yourself dinners
✔ Anyone who says “I don’t usually like sweet burgers” (they will)

Quick reader moment before we dive in:
👉 Are you a sauce-on-the-side person or a glaze-everything person?
Be honest. We’re among friends.

When Matthew and I were on our honeymoon we went to TGI Friday’s, which we never do. Matt got The best burger ever! I just can’t explain it, but it was AWESOME! So when we came home we decided that we had to try and make it!

It was absolutely a Huge success. However, since we don’t drink alcohol we now practically have a full bottle of it left, since the recipe only calls for 3 tablespoons. So we may be having more Jack Daniels recipes in our future. Anyways, here is our version of their burger which we thought was great!!

Jack Daniels Burger Copycat

Jack Daniels Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 1½ cups pineapple juice

  • ⅓ cup teriyaki sauce

  • 1½ tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • ¼ cup lemon juice

  • ¼ cup white onion, finely minced

  • 3 tablespoons Jack Daniels whiskey

  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

🍯 Jack Daniels Glaze Directions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

  2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

  3. Immediately reduce heat to a gentle simmer.

  4. Add the lemon juice, onion, Jack Daniels, garlic, and cayenne.

  5. Whisk until fully combined.

  6. Let the glaze simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and reduces by half.

Important note from the Lou Lou Girls kitchen:
👉 Do not rush this glaze. Turning up the heat will ruin it. Low, slow, and patient is the move—even if patience isn’t your natural gift (same).

Set glaze aside once syrupy and glossy.
