🍂 Friday Favorites – September Week 2
HELLO, SEPTEMBER! 🍎🍂
Okay, September…we are officially settling in!
The mornings are getting a little crisper, the evenings are getting cozier, and suddenly we’re making excuses to bake something with cinnamon. 😂
This is the week when fall starts feeling less like an idea and more like a FULL PERSONALITY. We’re talking football, comfort food, cozy nights, apple everything, and finding little ways to make ordinary days feel a little more special.
So grab your favorite blanket, put on some music, and let’s talk about what we’re loving this week!
🛒 Favorite Trader Joe’s Find
🎃 Pumpkin Spice Madeleines
Yes, we went there.
Pumpkin Spice Madeleines. 🎃
They’re soft, lightly spiced, perfectly snackable, and basically begging to be enjoyed with your afternoon treat.
They’re the kind of little bite that disappears from the pantry suspiciously quickly. You grab one…then another…then suddenly you’re wondering who ate the last one.
Lou Lou Tip: Warm one for just a few seconds and add a little whipped cream on the side for an easy fall dessert!
🍽️ Favorite Lou Lou Girls Recipe
🍫🔥 S’mores Cookie Dough Dip

Okay, this one deserves a comeback!
Our S’mores Cookie Dough Dip is the kind of recipe that makes you wonder why you ever bothered making regular dessert. 😂 It’s gooey, chocolatey, marshmallowy, loaded with cookie dough goodness, and basically designed for grabbing a graham cracker and digging right in.
It’s ridiculously easy to throw together and perfect for football watching, movie nights, family gatherings, girls’ nights, or anytime you need a dessert that disappears FAST.
And yes, we absolutely believe dipping graham crackers, strawberries, or your favorite cookies into it counts as a serving of fruit. We don’t make the rules. 😉
Lou Lou Tip: Put the skillet in the middle of the table and let everyone dig in while it’s warm and gooey. Just be prepared to make another batch because this one tends to vanish! 🍫🔥
Why we’re loving it this week: September is all about getting back into cozy nights, football weekends, and gathering around the table—and this is exactly the kind of fun, easy treat we want in the middle of it all. ❤️
🍁 Favorite Fall Drink
🍎 Maple Vanilla Chai
![]()
Move over pumpkin spice—we have a new fall obsession.
Maple Vanilla Chai. ☕🍁
Warm chai spices, creamy vanilla, and just a touch of maple make this the kind of drink that feels like wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket.
It’s warm, sweet, spicy, and basically September in a mug.
Lou Lou Tip: Top it with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. We believe beverages should occasionally be dramatic. 😂
📺 Favorite TV Show
💕 The Gilded Age

Time to add a little glamour, gossip, gorgeous costumes, and seriously good drama to our September watch list! ✨
The Gilded Age is pure eye candy with plenty of family drama, social rivalries, secrets, and characters you’ll love to root for—and occasionally love to dislike. 😂
It’s the kind of show where you can get completely swept up in another world for an hour and forget about your own to-do list.
Lou Lou Tip: This is a perfect girls’ night watch! Add some snacks, a cozy blanket, and maybe a little bubbly—or your favorite mocktail—and settle in. 🍿✨
Because sometimes September calls for less cleaning and more fancy dresses, scandal, and somebody else’s problems. 😂❤️
🎵 Favorite Song This Week
🎶 “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” — Olivia Dean
We’re putting this one on repeat!
“So Easy (To Fall In Love)” by Olivia Dean has that happy, breezy energy that makes you want to roll the windows down and sing along.
It’s currently showing up on the U.S. Top 40, so apparently we aren’t the only ones loving it. 🎶
Lou Lou Tip: Add it to your September playlist and play it while you’re getting ready in the morning. Instant mood boost!
🎙️ Favorite Podcast
🎧 The Lazy Genius Podcast
Sometimes you don’t need to completely overhaul your life—you just need to make it a little easier. 🙌🏻
The Lazy Genius Podcast is full of practical ideas for simplifying everyday life, getting organized without going crazy, and figuring out what actually matters to you.
It’s smart, relatable, encouraging, and refreshingly realistic. No complicated systems. No pressure to become a completely different person. Just simple ideas that can make everyday life run a little smoother.
Lou Lou Tip: Listen while you’re cleaning, driving, getting ready, or tackling that one little project you’ve been putting off. 😂
Because being a little more organized is great…
but being organized without losing your mind is even better. ❤️
📖 Favorite Book
📚 The Calamity Club — Kathryn Stockett

If you’re looking for your next cozy-but-can’t-put-it-down read, The Calamity Club is definitely worth adding to the list.
It’s currently sitting at the top of the U.S. hardcover fiction bestseller list, making it a fun pick for your September reading pile.
This is exactly the kind of book we want when the evenings get cooler and we’re ready to curl up somewhere comfortable and disappear into a good story.
Lou Lou Tip: Put your phone in another room, grab a cozy blanket, and give yourself an hour to actually READ. Revolutionary, we know. 😂
🛍️ Favorite Amazon Buys
September shopping has entered its “I don’t need it…but I absolutely want it” era. 😂
✨ 1. Pumpkin Pie Spice Shaker

Because September apparently means adding pumpkin spice to everything.
Cocoa? Nope.
But muffins, oatmeal, pancakes, French toast, whipped cream, and desserts? YES.
Keep it right on the counter and prepare to become the person who casually sprinkles pumpkin spice on everything.
✨ 2. Rechargeable Candle Lighter
No more searching through drawers for a lighter when you want to light a candle.
A rechargeable candle lighter is one of those little gadgets you don’t think you need until you have one—and then you wonder how you ever lived without it.
Lou Lou Tip: Keep one in the kitchen and one near your favorite candle stash.
✨ 3. Cute Fall Door Mat

A little seasonal refresh at the front door can make the whole house feel ready for fall.
Look for something simple, cheerful, and cute enough that you’ll actually want to leave it out all season.
Bonus points for something that makes guests smile when they walk up.
✨ 4. Apple Scented Wax Melts

If you can’t get enough of that fresh-baked-apple smell, bring it into the house!
Apple, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla—we want all the cozy scents.
Lou Lou Tip: Put one in the kitchen while you’re cooking dinner. Your house will smell like you’ve been baking all afternoon…even if dinner came from the freezer. 😂
✨ 5. Cozy Oversized Cardigan

Is it technically a blanket?
No.
Does it feel like one?
YES.
An oversized cardigan is basically the September uniform. Throw it over jeans, leggings, a dress, or pajamas when you’re pretending you’re only going to make one quick Target run.
💄 Favorite Beauty Find
✨ Hydrating Hand Cream

Cooler weather is coming, and our hands would like to file a formal complaint. 😂
We’re loving a rich, hydrating hand cream that leaves your hands soft without feeling greasy.
Keep one by the kitchen sink, one in your purse, and one on your nightstand.
Lou Lou Tip: Apply a generous layer before bed and let it work overnight. Soft hands in the morning? Yes, please!
🏡 Favorite Home Find
🍂 Plaid Fall Table Runner

We’re not saying you need to redecorate your entire house for fall…
But a cute plaid table runner can make your dining table look like you did.
Add a simple vase of flowers, a few candles, or a bowl of apples and suddenly dinner feels like an occasion.
Lou Lou Tip: Keep your fall decor simple. A few cozy touches usually make a bigger impact than covering every available surface with pumpkins. 🎃
🍪 Favorite Sweet Treat
🤎 Brown Butter Toffee Cookies

Buttery. Chewy. A little caramel-y. Loaded with toffee goodness.
Basically…COOKIE PERFECTION.
These are the cookies you make when you want something homemade but also want everyone to immediately ask, “Can I have another one?”
The answer is yes.
Probably.
Maybe.
Okay, FINE. Have two. 😂
🍎 Favorite September Activity
🍏 Go Apple Picking

September is the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy a little fall adventure.
Grab the family, find an apple orchard, take some pictures, pick way too many apples, and then come home wondering what you’re going to do with 47 apples.
Lou Lou Tip: Make a day of it! Pack snacks, wear comfy shoes, and finish the afternoon with cider or a homemade apple dessert.
The memories are the best part. ❤️
🕯️ Favorite Little Luxury
✨ Fancy Hand Soap

Hear us out.
A beautiful bottle of hand soap by the kitchen sink is one of those tiny luxuries that makes everyday life feel just a little nicer.
Choose something with a gorgeous fall scent—fig, amber, vanilla, sandalwood, or apple.
It takes approximately zero effort but somehow makes the kitchen feel instantly more put together.
Lou Lou Tip: Pair it with a pretty hand lotion and call it a little kitchen spa. 😂
🎯 Weekend Challenge — The Fall Bucket List

This weekend, make a mini fall bucket list! 🍂
Nothing complicated.
Just write down 5–10 things you want to do this season.
Maybe it’s:
🍎 Go apple picking
🎃 Visit a pumpkin patch
🍪 Bake something with cinnamon
🏈 Have a football snack night
🍂 Take a scenic drive
🕯️ Have a cozy movie night
🥧 Make a new dessert
📸 Take family pictures
☕ Have a girls’ night
❤️ Do something you’ve never done before
Then actually DO a few of them.
Because fall has a sneaky way of flying by.
❤️ This Week’s Happy Thought
You don’t have to wait for a big event to make life feel special.
Sometimes it’s the little things.
A good dinner.
A funny text from a friend.
Your favorite song coming on in the car.
A beautiful sunset.
Fresh sheets.
A warm blanket.
Laughing until your stomach hurts.
Someone saving you the last cookie.
A family dinner that lasts longer than expected.
A Saturday with absolutely nothing on the schedule.
Those little moments?
That’s the good stuff.
So this weekend, don’t worry about making everything perfect.
Make it memorable.
Make it fun.
Make something delicious.
Call someone you love.
Go somewhere pretty.
Stay home and get cozy.
Whatever you do, slow down long enough to actually enjoy it.
Happy Friday, friends! 🍂❤️
Here’s to crisp mornings, cozy nights, good food, big laughs, and all the little things that make September so special.
Now go make yourself something delicious, put on your favorite song, and enjoy your weekend!
See you next week for another round of Friday Favorites! 💕
