💬 Reader prompt: Are you team “extra sauce” or team “extra cheese”?

When Matt and I were dating, I went through a period where I didn’t think he liked me, because we dated for a month before he kissed me. I thought that I would impress him with my mad cooking skills.

I decided to make Alfredo, I got home early and tried to make Jessica’s Alfredo Recipe. Which has always been my favorite because it’s amazing. I always thought you had to cook it for a long time so that all the flavors could mesh together.

Well, I failed, miserably. I added too much cheese and cooked it too long. I just thought I would make it taste better by adding more and more parmesan.

Turns out Matt did like me and he was just a gentleman. He was waiting for the right time and when our first kiss happened it was perfect. He also was really nice and told me that my Alfredo was good, which it wasn’t. What a good boyfriend he was!!

Every time I watch the Holiday with Jack Black and Cameron Diaz I always think, it would be nice to have Christmas Alfredo on Christmas Eve. Also, I really enjoy that movie, you should watch it.

Anyways, we love Olive Garden at our house! This is why Matt and I had to try to come up with the perfect Copycat.

💭 Final Thoughts

This Fettuccine Alfredo is everything you want in a comfort meal: creamy, cheesy, nostalgic, comforting, and ridiculously satisfying. It’s the kind of recipe that brings people together, sparks conversation, and makes everyone feel like they’re part of the fun.

It’s simple enough for a weeknight, impressive enough for guests, and comforting enough for those “I need something delicious immediately” days.

Here’s the thing about pasta: it’s never just pasta. It’s an experience. A vibe. A whole mood.

It’s the kind of meal that invites you to slow down, savor, and enjoy. It’s nostalgic, comforting, and endlessly adaptable — the perfect canvas for creativity in the kitchen.

And this Fettuccine Alfredo is the kind that becomes a tradition. The kind your family requests again and again. The kind you make for weeknights, weekends, potlucks, or “just because we deserve something delicious and cozy” moments.

But what I love most is how recipes like this build community. They bring people together around the table, spark laughter, inspire creativity, and remind us that food is more than fuel — it’s connection. It’s joy. It’s the little moment in the day when everyone pauses, gathers, and enjoys something delicious together.

So here’s your mission: Make this pasta, share it with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you go spicy Did you go extra cheesy Did you add chicken or shrimp (I support this fully.)

Until then, may your noodles be silky, your sauce creamy, your cheese plentiful, your garlic fragrant, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings.

Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about cooking — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.

Fettuccine Alfredo isn’t just dinner — it’s a lifestyle. 🍝✨💛

This recipe we felt was as close as you can get to the real deal. The Romano cheese makes a real difference. If you are like us you will want a little leftover Romano cheese to top it with. Hope you like it as much we did!
