Cranberry and orange combination screams the holidays. The tartness of the cranberries, the fresh flavor of the orange – is the perfect combination of deliciousness.

We really became addicted to the cranberry orange combination last year. Ben, my son, asked me to make him some Cranberry Orange Bread and after one taste we were hooked!

Cranberry Orange Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- Orange Zest, from one large orange
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons Orange Juice
- 1 1/2 cups Whole Cranberries, chopped (Fresh)
- white chocolate chips for the drizzle
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter for 2-3 minutes.
- Add sugars and orange zest, to the butter. Beat for an additional 2-3 minutes; the mixture will become light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla, and orange juice and mix until combined.
- Add the dry ingredients slowly, in increments, mixing well after each addition.
- Carefully fold in the fresh, chopped cranberries by hand.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cover baking sheets with silicone sheets or parchment paper.
- Make golf ball size balls (about 1 1/2 tablespoons) place them on the prepared cookie sheets at least two inches apart.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for about 3 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- After cookies are cool, melt your chocolate chips in the microwave. I do a minute, stir, and then another minute. Be careful, white chocolate is unforgiving. If it’s cooked too long it will seize. Once melted, drizzle over the cookies. I used a squirt bottle.

💭 Final Thoughts
These Cranberry Orange Cookies are proof that baked goods don’t have to be complicated. They’re bold, flavorful, and versatile enough to be a holiday favorite, a potluck star, or a “just because” indulgence. Plus, they’re the kind of recipe that makes everyone smile — and isn’t that the best kind of baking?
Here’s the thing about cookies — they’re never just cookies. They’re the smell of orange zest wafting, the joy of cranberries popping, the comfort of knowing you’ve got a treat that’s both playful and nostalgic.
And these Cranberry Orange Cookies? They’re keepers. They’re chewy, they’re zesty, they’re indulgent, they’re fun. They’re the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve turned pantry staples into something bakery‑worthy.
But what I love most is how recipes like this bring us together. Food has that magic — it’s not just about eating, it’s about sharing. It’s about swapping tips, laughing over sugar‑splattered counters, and building little traditions that make life tastier.
So here’s my challenge to you: make this dish, share it with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you add nuts? Did you sneak in coconut? Did you double the drizzle just because you could? (No judgment — I’d be first in line for that version.)
💬 Reader prompt: Should we do a “Fruit‑Forward Cookie Series” next? I’m dreaming up lemon blueberry, cherry almond, and maybe even raspberry white chocolate.
Until then, may your cranberries be tart, your oranges zesty, your drizzle glossy, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings. Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about baking — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.
And if you take nothing else from this post, let it be this: cranberry orange cookies aren’t just dessert, they’re a lifestyle. 🍊🍒✨
