🥪 Crack Chicken Sliders — The Little Sandwiches That Steal the Show
“Warning: These sliders have been known to disappear faster than you can say ‘pass the plate.’”

Crack Chicken Sliders
Let’s talk about the kind of recipe that makes people hover in the kitchen, “just checking” if they’re ready, and then somehow sneaking one before they ever hit the table. That’s these Crack Chicken Sliders.
They’re the perfect storm of flavors: tender shredded chicken, creamy ranch-seasoned filling, crispy bacon, melty cheddar, and the soft, slightly sweet hug of Hawaiian rolls. Then — because we’re not here to play — they get brushed with a buttery, herby, cheesy topping that bakes into golden perfection.
They’re the MVP of game day spreads, the star of potlucks, the “I brought something” that gets you invited back every time. They’re easy enough for a weeknight, impressive enough for a party, and so addictive you’ll be making them “just because.”
The best part? You can prep them ahead, bake them in one pan, and feed a crowd without breaking a sweat. Whether you’re serving them with chips, salad, or straight from the baking dish while standing at the counter (no judgment), these sliders are pure happiness in handheld form.
So grab your rolls, your cheese, and your appetite — we’re making the kind of sliders that will have everyone asking for the recipe before they’ve even finished their first bite
I have been loving sliders lately! It’s such an easy dinner idea that everyone loves! The flavors that you can create is amazing.
This one is so full of flavor, it’s incredible! I have made this one for family dinner, but they are great for any gathering that you have hungry people! Another bonus is that they only takes minutes to put together!

👩🍳 Cooking Tips for the Best Sliders
- Shred chicken while warm — It’s easier and blends better with the cream cheese.
- Room temp cream cheese — Softened cream cheese mixes smoothly without lumps.
- Don’t skimp on the topping — That buttery, cheesy crust is part of the magic.
- Cover while baking — Keeps the rolls soft while the filling heats through.
- Serve immediately — These are best hot and gooey, straight from the oven.
🎨 Recipe Variations
- Buffalo Style — Add ¼ cup buffalo sauce to the filling and swap cheddar for pepper jack.
- BBQ Twist — Mix in ½ cup BBQ sauce and use smoked cheddar.
- Turkey Swap — Use shredded turkey for a post-holiday leftover makeover.
- Veggie Boost — Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or roasted red peppers.
- Breakfast Version — Swap chicken for scrambled eggs and add breakfast sausage.
🧒 Kid Tips
- Mild Cheese — Use mild cheddar if kids aren’t into sharp flavors.
- Mini Sliders — Cut rolls smaller for little hands.
- No Onions — Skip green onions for picky eaters.
- Fun Sides — Serve with carrot sticks or apple slices for balance.
🛒 Grocery Hacks
- Rotisserie chicken — Saves time and adds flavor.
- Block cheese — Shred it yourself for better melt.
- Bulk bacon — Cook extra and freeze crumbles for quick recipes.
- Store-brand rolls — Often just as good as name brand and cheaper.
- Buy ranch mix in bulk — More cost-effective if you make these often.

Crack Chicken Sliders

- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken, cooked and shredded
- 1 packet dry ranch dressing
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 to 5 stalks green onions, chopped
- 4 to 5 bacon, cooked and crumbled

- 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls
- Butter Topping
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon dried Italian dressing seasoning
- 1/2 cup tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Cut 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls in half so you have a top and bottom piece. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
In a large bowl, add the shredded boneless skinless chicken, ranch, cream cheese, chopped green onions, ½ cup of the 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. Mix to combine, then spread evenly over the buns in the baking dish.
Top with the remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese then place on the top half of the buns.
Add 3 tablespoons butter, to a small microwavable bowl and heat until the butter is melted. Mix in dried Italian salad seasoning.
Brush the butter mixture on top of the buns using a basting brush, and then sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the tops of the buns are golden.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Cut into individual sliders and serve immediately.
