Cute Buttercream Flower Smash Cake

A buttercream flower smash cake for a 1-year-old birthday party!

My friend called to ask if I could make a cake for her daughter’s first birthday and I couldn’t resist. Smash cakes are so cute and fun and I’ve been dying to make a buttercream flower smash cake ever since I’ve seen them floating around on Pinterest.

They were a little more tricky to make than I was expecting, but we did pretty well for the first time. A tutorial is coming soon! I’m off to host a cousin camp…of course, I’ll tell you everything we did!
