We live in Spanish Fork, UT and I’m sure every city has their famous pizza place! In our city, it’s Two Jacks. All the times that we have eaten pizza from this place, I wasn’t aware that they had amazing BBQ chicken breadsticks! Cassie introduced them to the family about a year ago and now when we go there that is what I have to have!

Since they aren’t opened 24/7, we needed to come up with a homemade version and boy did these little puppies tickle the taste buds! So easy and so good that this will become one of your all-time favorites.

BBQ Chicken Breadsticks

Ingredients:

1 roll of Pillsbury Pizza Crust
1 cup BBQ sauce
2 cups shredded cooked chicken- I used a rotisserie chicken
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 purple onion, thinly sliced

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Roll out the pizza dough into a 15 inch by 10-inch rectangle, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Place the dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
  • While the crust bakes, combine the BBQ sauce and shredded chicken to a saucepan on medium heat. Heat completely.
  • Spread the chicken mixture on top of the pizza crust evenly, and then spread out the onions on top.
  • Scatter the cheese on top to finish it off! Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and starts to bubble. Cut in slices and enjoy! This tastes amazing with a homemade ranch dip!

💭 Final Thoughts

These BBQ Chicken Breadsticks prove that comfort food doesn’t have to be complicated. They’re hearty, flavorful, and versatile enough to be a weekday staple, a family favorite, or a “just because” indulgence. Plus, they’re the kind of recipe that makes everyone smile — and isn’t that the best kind of cooking?

Here’s the thing about breadsticks — they’re never just appetizers. They’re the smell of BBQ bubbling, the joy of cheese melting, the comfort of knowing you’ve got a dish that’s both playful and nostalgic. They’re the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve pulled off a party miracle without breaking a sweat.

And these BBQ Chicken Breadsticks? They’re keepers. They’re savory, they’re cheesy, they’re indulgent, they’re fun. They’re the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve turned pantry staples into something restaurant‑worthy. They’re hearty enough to feed a crowd, flexible enough to adapt to whatever toppings you’ve got hanging out in the fridge, and comforting enough to become the dish your family requests again and again.

But what I love most is how recipes like this bring us together. Food has that magic — it’s not just about eating, it’s about sharing. It’s about swapping tips, laughing over cheese‑splattered counters, and building little traditions that make life tastier. It’s about the kids sneaking extra bites when you’re not looking, the friends who ask for seconds, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing you’ve created something that feels like home.

So here’s my challenge to you: make this dish, share it with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you add jalapeños? Did you sneak in pineapple? Did you double the cheese just because you could? (No judgment — I’d be first in line for that version.) Maybe you turned them into mini bites for portion control, or gave it a holiday glow with cranberries. Whatever your spin, I want to hear about it.

💬 Reader prompt: Should we do a “Breadstick Glow Series” next? I’m dreaming up cheesy garlic breadsticks, buffalo chicken breadsticks, and maybe even taco breadsticks.

Until then, may your crust be golden, your BBQ tangy, your chicken juicy, your cheese melty, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings. Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about cooking — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.

And if you take nothing else from this post, let it be this: BBQ Chicken Breadsticks aren’t just appetizers, they’re a lifestyle. 🥖🍗✨
