3 Easy Tips to Organize Winter Clothes

Winter is just around the corner and I don’t know about you, but one thing that really stresses me out is the thought of keeping track of all my kids winter clothes. My three-year-old is super excited for the snow so I want to do everything in my power to keep getting him dressed easy, because we all know it usually takes longer to get a kid ready for the snow then they play in it. These are my top three tips to help keep your winter clothes organized and ready to go!

  1. Have a spot for each person’s snow clothes. This helps you keep track of everything, as well as quickly grab what you need. When each person has a spot you can easily assess what is put away or what you need to search for.

2. Less is more. When I first became a mom, I thought I needed multiples of everything so that if I lost something, it wouldn’t be a big deal. I quickly found that I lost things more frequently because I didn’t track things down that were missing. I’ve learned that if each person just has one of each item (at least in their spot) it is much easier to keep track of what is missing and what is not.

3. Teach your kids to help clean up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, easier said then done, I know! But if your kids each have their own designated spot for their winter clothes and know you expect them to put their snow clothes back there, they’ll be more likely to do it. Even my 18 month old knows his spot and can (sometimes) put his stuff away!
