I’m getting ready for Backlot Film Camp again this year and I have whiteboards that still have writing on them from last year! Whoops! I didn’t have any whiteboard cleaner so I looked up a few online and this is the best one that I found! Super simple.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Spray bottle
Rag
1/3 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup of water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix the rubbing alcohol and water in your spray bottle.
2. Spray on your whiteboard and let it soak for a minute depending on how long the marker has been on there.
3. Remove with the rag before the solution is dry.
We had the same thing at work, white boards with really old writing. This does work but be warned if you do this a lot with the alcohol, it does something to the shiny surface then nothing wipes off easily again. It's like the more you do this the more you have to!
WD-40 should help with that to restore it. Street you clean the board, spray a light most of the lubricant with a cloth. Wipe in a circular motion to cover the whole board evenly and then dry it with a paper towel.
I always prefer to use natural cleansers as opposed to store bought ones. Thank you for sharing this effective natural cleaner with us at the Hearth and Soul Hop. Sharing.
Great write up! This does work but be warned if you do this a lot with the alcohol, it does something to the shiny surface then nothing wipes off easily again. It's like the more you do this the more you have to!
I learned a trick at work for cleaning whiteboards, and it’s simply hand sanitizer on a paper towel. I like it because it’s not too runny which is helpful for white boards attached to conference room walks.
