Strawberry cheesecake salad is a fresh strawberry medley bathing in a sweet dreamy cheesecake mixture and the crunchy of the pretzels that transcend divine deliciousness.
In the past few months, I have been on a mission to find different but divine salads! How many times have you been invited to a social gathering and you ask what you should bring and they tell you to bring a salad? I always think ” oh, man!” that either means a green salad or a pasta salad and these beauties have been my old stand by! That’s why I have been trying to branch out.
This has made the list of “best in show” and I will make this for years to come. How can you go wrong with fresh fruit and cheesecake? Seriously, you will love me for this!
1 8 ounces whipped cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
8 ounce Cool Whip, thawed
6 cups of strawberries, sliced ( you can use a mixture of berries)
1 cup pretzels, chopped
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
Pretzels: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together the chopped pretzels, walnuts, brown sugar, and melted butter.
Place a piece of parchment paper onto a baking sheet and then spread out the mixture onto the pan. Bake for about 7 minutes. Let cool and then break it into small bite-size pieces. Let cool.
In a large bowl, whip together cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in the thawed Cool Whip.
Add strawberries and pretzel mixture. Fold carefully into the cream cheese mixture.
