Mad Hatter Birthday Party

One of my best friends Caitlyn, is literally one of the most creative people I have ever met. Her classroom is decorated like a Dr. Seuss land for high school students. It’s adorable!

Obviously when she asked me to help her make her one year old’s birthday cake into a mad hatter hat I was very excited! Then I asked her if I could steal her other pictures so I could show you how cute her party for him turned out! To make the above cake, we baked a cake and froze it.

Place a round object on top the size I wanted the hat, then cut it. Then we made rice crispy treats and molded them so that it would have a nice slanted/wacky hat look! Then the rest was fondant.

We also made cupcakes and and cut tags to put on top of them and she wrote “eat me” on them with an edible marker! The rest of the decorations were pure genius and the party was adorable!! Thanks for letting me feature it Caitlyn!
