Boston Cream Poke Cake

I’ve always wanted to try a good Boston cream pie. This will have to do! It was delicious and it was super easy. You can’t go wrong with pudding and chocolate.

My husband calls me a cake snob because I don’t like cake from a box usually, but this is the one exception. If it’s easy and the moist yellow cake! Enjoy this recipe, I know we did!

Boston Cream Poke Cake

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
2 boxes Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
4 cups Milk
1 can sweet and condensed milk
1 container chocolate frosting

Directions

1. Mix and Bake the yellow cake according to the directions on the box. Allow cooling.
2. Using the end of a wooden spoon poke holes in the cake.
3. Mix up 2 boxes of vanilla pudding with the milk until the pudding sets up. Whisk in the sweet and condensed milk. Spread evenly over the top of the cake, filling in the holes.
4. Put the icing in the microwave for 30 seconds until the frosting is melty. Then spread over the top of the pudding. Allow to set up in the fridge for 2 hours at least. Awesome if left overnight.
