Pizza Roll ups
If you’ve ever wanted a recipe that makes your family cheer AND makes you look like a kitchen rockstar with zero stress, Pizza Roll Ups are your new best friend.
These pizza roll-ups are delicious! My mom makes them the morning of Christmas Eve so that we can eat them for lunches throughout the next couple of days and enjoy the Holidays instead of cook and clean and cook and clean! It’s fantastic!
This year we experimented a little and used yogurt instead of cream cheese and it turned out great! We also added pineapple on one batch but it was only so-so.
I am a huge lover of Hawaiian pizza but the pineapples just didn’t work being rolled into it. They made it a little too soggy. If I were to do it again I’d maybe just sprinkle them on top before putting them in the oven.
Dinner is supposed to be simple. Dinner is supposed to be satisfying. Dinner is supposed to be that moment of the day where everyone gathers, smiles, and says, “Wow, Mom, you’re amazing.”
But sometimes? Dinner is chaos.
There are days when:
- You’re tired
- You’re busy
- You’re over it
- You’re out of ideas
- You’re out of groceries
- You’re out of patience
- You’re one burnt meal away from ordering takeout
And that’s where Pizza Roll Ups come in.
Pizza Roll Ups are the recipe equivalent of a best friend who shows up with snacks, compliments your hair, and tells you you’re doing great.
They’re easy. They’re fast. They’re customizable. They’re delicious. They’re fun to make. They’re fun to eat. They’re basically the superhero of weeknight dinners.
✨ Reader Prompt: What’s your family’s go‑to emergency dinner?
Alright, queen. Let’s get rolling.
🍕 THE INGREDIENTS (AKA: THE DREAM TEAM)
Here’s what you need to make Pizza Roll Ups that will make your family fall in love with you all over again:
- Pizza dough
- Pizza sauce
- Pizza toppings (cheese, pepperoni, peppers, olives, sausage, etc.)
- Cream cheese or plain yogurt
- Floss (yes, FLOSS — trust the process)
Playful aside: If you’ve never cut dough with floss before, prepare to have your mind blown.
🍕🔥 HOW TO MAKE PIZZA ROLL UPS (THE SASSY, CONFIDENT VERSION)
✔️ Step 1: Roll out your pizza dough
Make it a rectangle. Make it smooth. Make it pretty. Pretend you’re on a cooking show.
✔️ Step 2: Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or yogurt
This is the secret. This is the magic. This is the “why are these so good?” moment.
✔️ Step 3: Add pizza sauce
Not too much. Not too little. Just enough to make it saucy without making it sloppy.
✔️ Step 4: Add your toppings
Cheese. Pepperoni. Veggies. Whatever your heart desires.
✔️ Step 5: Roll it up
Tightly. Confidently. Like you’re rolling up your problems and baking them away.
✔️ Step 6: Use FLOSS to slice
Slide the floss under the roll. Cross the ends. Pull tight. Perfect slices every time.
Playful aside: If you use a knife, I won’t judge… but the floss is life‑changing.
✔️ Step 7: Bake until golden and bubbly
Your kitchen will smell like heaven. Your family will start hovering. Your dog will start begging.
✔️ Step 8: Serve warm with extra sauce
Because dipping is a love language.
