Pasta Pie
🍝🥧 Pasta Pie — Cheesy, Saucy, and Totally Show‑Stopping
Let’s talk about the kind of dinner that makes people hover around the oven like it’s their new best friend. The kind of dish that’s cheesy, hearty, and just a little dramatic. That’s exactly what this Pasta Pie delivers.
This isn’t just pasta and sauce. It’s indulgent, it’s layered, it’s dramatic in the best way, and it’s the kind of recipe that makes you want to grab seconds (because one slice is never enough). Pasta brings cozy satisfaction, ground beef swoops in with sparkle, ricotta adds indulgence, marinara brings tangy joy, and that mozzarella crown? That’s the mic‑drop moment.
Why this recipe is a keeper:
- Effortless elegance — pantry staples, restaurant‑worthy results.
- Flavor fireworks — pasta + beef + cheese = comfort food magic.
- Family‑friendly — even picky eaters don’t stand a chance.
- Make‑ahead friendly — reheats beautifully.
- Instagram‑worthy — glossy cheese deserves a close‑up.

Being a mom, one of the hardest things is finding new recipes that your family will love and easy for you to make. I just think I know what my girls will love to eat and they will tell me that they are NOT going to eat what I just cooked! At our house, my family’s tastes keep changing, so I’m always on a quest to find the new, best thing in food.
This recipe looks so impressive but is so easy to put together! I know it’s a complete hit when my daughter comes home from school and asks if there are leftovers? This adult and kid approved and it will become one of your family’s favorites!
Pasta Pie

1 pound pasta- your favorite kind
1 pound ground beef
1 Tablespoon olive oil
2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
3 large eggs
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan, plus 3 Tablespoons
2 Tablespoons parsley
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella, plus 1 cup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease generously a 9-inch springform pan, or a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook 3 to 4 minutes less than the package instructions. so the pasta is very al dente. Drain and reserve a small amount of the pasta water.
- In a skillet, brown the beef on medium heat. Season with salt and pepper. Place the beef onto a plate covered with paper towels. Wipe out the skillet with a paper towel.
- Heat the olive oil in the skillet over medium heat and saute onions and garlic, about 4 to 5 minutes, and then remove from the heat.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs, marinara, ricotta, 1/2 cup Parmesan, 1/2 cup mozzarella, parsley, salt, pepper, and two Tablespoons reserved pasta water. Add the cooked pasta, beef, onion, and garlic. Toss to evenly coat. Pour into the prepared pan. Top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown. Let sit for about 5 minutes, and then remove from the pan. Serve and enjoy!!!

💭 Final Thoughts
This Pasta Pie proves that comfort food doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s hearty, flavorful, and versatile enough to be a weekday staple, a family favorite, or a “just because” indulgence. Plus, it’s the kind of recipe that makes everyone smile — and isn’t that the best kind of cooking?
Here’s the thing about pasta — it’s never just dinner. It’s the smell of marinara bubbling, the joy of mozzarella melting, the comfort of knowing you’ve got a dish that’s both playful and nostalgic. It’s the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve pulled off a dinner miracle without breaking a sweat.
And this Pasta Pie? It’s a keeper. It’s savory, it’s cheesy, it’s indulgent, it’s fun. It’s the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve turned pantry staples into something restaurant‑worthy. It’s hearty enough to feed a crowd, flexible enough to adapt to whatever toppings you’ve got hanging out in the fridge, and comforting enough to become the dish your family requests again and again.
But what I love most is how recipes like this bring us together. Food has that magic — it’s not just about eating, it’s about sharing. It’s about swapping tips, laughing over cheese‑splattered counters, and building little traditions that make life tastier. It’s about the kids sneaking extra bites when you’re not looking, the friends who ask for seconds, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing you’ve created something that feels like home.
So here’s my challenge to you: make this dish, share it with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you add jalapeños? Did you sneak in balsamic drizzle? Did you double the mozzarella just because you could? (No judgment — I’d be first in line for that version.) Maybe you turned it into nachos for game day, or gave it a holiday glow with basil. Whatever your spin, I want to hear about it.
💬 Reader prompt: Should we do a “Pie Glow Series” next? I’m dreaming up spaghetti pie, lasagna pie, and maybe even taco pasta pie.
Until then, may your pasta be tender, your beef juicy, your ricotta creamy, your mozzarella melty, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings. Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about cooking — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.
And if you take nothing else from this post, let it be this: Pasta Pie isn’t just dinner, it’s a lifestyle. 🍝🥧✨

Yum! My boys love pasta so I know this would be a hit at our house. It makes the dish more fun as a pie rather than a traditional plate or bowl of pasta. With the assortment of spices and cheese, this can be jazzed up in hundreds of new ways to enjoy a quick and easy meal with a variety.

OMG I used to have this all the time when I worked in retail. The cafeteria called it pasta bake, and it came in individual little dishes, and was totally delicious. Thanks for the memory, I need to throw this onto the menu plan this week!

It’s so funny when I was a kid we had to eat what my mom put on the table whether we liked it or not. Sometimes that was pure torture. Luckily, she was a good cook and always tried different things. It is hard to get kids to eat these days so finding great recipes everyone loves is essential.
Oh my goodness!! Why would y’all do this to me, when I’m trying to be healthier in 2018, combine two of my favorite foods…or I guess, one of my favorite foods and one of my favorite food SHAPES. Looks SO yummy!
You are totally correct about having a difficult time coming up with food to prepare for the family. This looks like a lovely recipe though! We’re all huge fans of pasta at home.
Oh wow this looks great! My husband is Italian so we do a lot of pasta, this would be a really fun way to do something different with our pasta during the week.
This is such a fun presentation for a favorite meal! Our most favorite slice of pizza at a local restaurant is their baked ziti pizza. It sounds silly because they really are a New York family but it’s the best thing ever! This pasta pie reminded me of that and I’m sure my daughters will love it!
