Meatball Lasagna Rollups
🍝🧀 Meatball Lasagna Rollups — Comfort Food With a Twist
Lasagna meets meatballs, gets rolled up, smothered in cheese, and basically wins dinner.

Let’s talk about pasta goals. You know those nights when you want something hearty, cheesy, and just a little dramatic? That’s where Meatball Lasagna Rollups strut in. They’re saucy, they’re cheesy, they’re rolled up like little bundles of joy, and they’re the kind of dish that makes you forget you even considered plain spaghetti.
This isn’t your average lasagna. It’s portable, it’s portion‑friendly, it’s indulgent, and it’s the kind of recipe that makes you want to grab seconds (because one rollup is never enough). Meatballs bring cozy satisfaction, ricotta swoops in with indulgence, mozzarella adds sparkle, and that marinara blanket? That’s the mic‑drop moment.
Why this recipe is a keeper:
- Effortless elegance — looks fancy, but easy to make.
- Flavor fireworks — meatballs + ricotta + marinara = pasta magic.
- Family‑friendly — even picky eaters don’t stand a chance.
- Make‑ahead friendly — reheats beautifully.
- Instagram‑worthy — cheesy rollups deserve a close‑up.

This year we are trying to be better at eating leftovers. I thought these would be a great way to still have one of our favorite meals for lunch the next couple of days and to also have them easily put in meal prep boxes.
Yes, I know there are a lot of calories in these, but they are worth every single calorie.

Meatball Lasagna Rollups
Ingredients
- 12 meatballs
- Large bottle or 2 small bottles of your favorite marinara (I used Prego 3 cheese)
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 16 oz of ricotta cheese
- 12 slices of mozzarella cheese
- parsley

Directions
- In a 9×13 inch pan, spread one large bottle marinara. Then layout a lasagna noodle horizontally on a cutting board. Spread about a tablespoon of ricotta onto the noodle. Place a meatball on top of the ricotta on one end. Lay a mozzarella slice on the end of the noodle and place a meatball on top of the ricotta.
- Roll up the noodle with the meatball and cheese inside. Place the meatball bomb into the baking dish, with the meatball showing. Repeat with the rest of the meatballs, noodles, and cheese.
- Bake the dish for about 25 minutes, until the top is lightly browned. Remove from the oven, and garnish with the parsley. Feel free to reserve some of the marinaras to serve with the rollups.

💭 Final Thoughts
These Meatball Lasagna Rollups prove that comfort food doesn’t have to be complicated. They’re hearty, flavorful, and versatile enough to be a weekday staple, a family favorite, or a “just because” indulgence. Plus, they’re the kind of recipe that makes everyone smile — and isn’t that the best kind of cooking?
Here’s the thing about lasagna — it’s never just pasta. It’s the smell of marinara bubbling, the joy of mozzarella melting, the comfort of knowing you’ve got a dish that’s both playful and nostalgic. It’s the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve pulled off a dinner miracle without breaking a sweat.
And these Meatball Lasagna Rollups? They’re keepers. They’re savory, they’re hearty, they’re indulgent, they’re fun. They’re the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve turned pantry staples into something restaurant‑worthy. They’re hearty enough to feed a crowd, flexible enough to adapt to whatever toppings you’ve got hanging out in the fridge, and comforting enough to become the dish your family requests again and again.
But what I love most is how recipes like this bring us together. Food has that magic — it’s not just about eating, it’s about sharing. It’s about swapping tips, laughing over sauce‑splattered counters, and building little traditions that make life tastier. It’s about the kids sneaking extra bites when you’re not looking, the friends who ask for seconds, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing you’ve created something that feels like home.
So here’s my challenge to you: make this dish, share it with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you add spinach? Did you sneak in Alfredo? Did you double the mozzarella just because you could? (No judgment — I’d be first in line for that version.) Maybe you turned them into mini ramekins for portion control, or gave them a holiday glow with cranberries. Whatever your spin, I want to hear about it.
💬 Reader prompt: Should we do a “Rollup Glow Series” next? I’m dreaming up chicken Alfredo rollups, veggie lasagna rollups, and maybe even dessert rollups.
Until then, may your meatballs be juicy, your noodles tender, your ricotta creamy, your mozzarella melty, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings. Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about cooking — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.
And if you take nothing else from this post, let it be this: Meatball Lasagna Rollups aren’t just dinner, they’re a lifestyle. 🍝🧀✨
