August is flying by, and we’re officially in that magical little window where summer is still hanging on, but we’re starting to feel those first tiny hints of fall. The mornings are a little sweeter, the evenings are perfect for sitting outside, and we’re finding all kinds of excuses to enjoy these last golden weeks of summer.

This week’s favorites are a mix of delicious finds, fun things to watch and listen to, a few things we can’t stop talking about, and some little treasures that are making life just a bit more fabulous.

🛒 Favorite Trader Joe’s Find

Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar

If you haven’t tried this cheese yet, RUN—don’t walk—to Trader Joe’s! It’s creamy, crumbly, sharp, and has little crunchy bits that make it completely irresistible.

Slice it up for a charcuterie board, crumble it over a salad, add it to a grilled cheese, or just stand in front of the refrigerator eating it straight from the package.

August is still peach season, and we’re absolutely taking advantage of it! Our Peach Poke Cake is everything we want in a summer dessert—soft, sweet, peachy, creamy, and ridiculously easy to make.

Watermelon Lime Slushies

This is summer in a glass!

Blend frozen watermelon with fresh lime juice and a little honey until it’s thick, frosty, and perfectly refreshing. It’s simple, naturally sweet, and absolutely delicious on a hot August afternoon.

Lou Lou Tip: Freeze watermelon cubes ahead of time so you’re always ready for a slushie emergency.

Landman

If you’re looking for a show with big personalities, family drama, Texas oil country, and plenty of twists, Landman is a great one to add to your watch list! Starring Billy Bob Thornton, it’s packed with drama, humor, complicated characters, and just enough suspense to keep you saying, “Okay, one more episode.”

It’s the perfect show for those nights when you want something entertaining that pulls you right into the story.

Lou Lou Tip: Don’t start an episode too close to bedtime unless you’re prepared to stay up for another one! 😂

🎵 Favorite Song This Week

This one has that perfect country-meets-summer-party energy. It’s catchy, fun, and practically demands a windows-down drive.

Backyard Movie Night

There’s something magical about watching a movie outside.
