Chicken Pot Pie Pasta
🥧🍝 Chicken Pot Pie Pasta — All the Cozy Comfort, None of the Crust Drama
“Because sometimes you want the creamy, cozy hug of chicken pot pie… but you also want pasta night.”

This Chicken Pot Pie Pasta is the ultimate mash-up of two comfort food legends. It’s got all the creamy, veggie-packed goodness of a classic chicken pot pie filling — tender chicken, sweet peas, corn, carrots, and celery — but instead of fussing with pie crust, we’re tossing it with pasta for a one-pan wonder that’s weeknight-friendly and family-approved.
It’s:
- Creamy and dreamy — thanks to a buttery roux and heavy cream.
- Loaded with veggies — so you can feel good about that second helping.
- Quick to make — rotisserie chicken is your secret weapon.
If you’ve got 30 minutes, you’ve got dinner that tastes like a hug.
I love Chicken Pot Pies! It’s my comfort food! All that creaminess of the sauce wrapped around the juicy morsels of chicken and fresh veggies, it screams home!
When I heard about this version of the chicken pot pie, with noodles, I knew I had found a winner. What makes it even better is that is only takes minutes to make and your family will love it!

👩🍳 Cooking Tips for the Best Chicken Pot Pie Pasta
- Use rotisserie chicken — It’s flavorful, juicy, and a huge time saver.
- Don’t rush the roux — Cooking the flour in butter for a minute or two deepens the flavor.
- Season in layers — Add salt and pepper at each stage for depth.
- Pasta choice matters — Curvy shapes hold onto the creamy sauce better.
- Veggie swap — Use frozen mixed vegetables to save chopping time.
🎨 Recipe Variations
- Cheesy Bake — Transfer to a baking dish, top with cheddar, and broil until bubbly.
- Herb Lovers — Add fresh thyme or rosemary to the sauce.
- Lighter Version — Swap half the cream for milk or chicken broth.
- Turkey Twist — Use leftover Thanksgiving turkey instead of chicken.
- Garlic Bread Crust — Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and Parmesan, bake until golden.
🧒 Kid Tips
- Keep veggies small and tender for picky eaters.
- Let kids sprinkle cheese on top if you bake it.
- Serve with breadsticks for dipping into the sauce.
- Make it fun — call it “Chicken Pie Pasta” and watch them dig in.
🛒 Grocery Hacks
- Buy pasta in bulk — It’s cheaper and stores forever.
- Frozen veggies — Just as nutritious as fresh and always ready to go.
- Rotisserie chicken — Grab one when they’re on sale, shred, and freeze portions.
- Heavy cream sales — Stock up; it freezes well for cooking.
- Onion & celery — Dice extra and freeze for quick meal starters.

Chicken Pot Pie Pasta
Ingredients
- 8 ounces curvy pasta
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 ribs celery, diced
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup corn
- 3 cups rotisserie chicken or cooked chopped chicken breast
- 2 cups parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook noodles al dente, according to package directions.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion, celery and carrots. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until veggies are soft. Add garlic and cook an additional 2 minutes. Stir in the flour until combined.
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream; bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. Stir occasionally until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with the salt, pepper and paprika. Add the peas and corn, and stir to combine.
Drain the pasta and add to the skillet, along with the chicken. Taste and season with a touch more salt and pepper, if necessary. Add the Parmesan cheese and mix well.

💭 Final Thoughts
This Chicken Pot Pie Pasta is the definition of comfort food made easy. It’s creamy, hearty, and full of flavor — the kind of dish that makes you want to curl up with a big bowl and a blanket.
Here’s the thing about Chicken Pot Pie Pasta — it’s not just dinner. It’s a mood. It’s the smell of butter and garlic filling your kitchen, the sight of steam curling up from a creamy bowl, the sound of your family asking for seconds before they’ve even finished their first helping.
It’s also a reminder that comfort food doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need to roll out pie crust or spend hours in the kitchen to get that same cozy satisfaction. Sometimes, all it takes is a pot, a pan, and a few simple ingredients coming together in the right way.
And maybe that’s why I love it so much — because it’s not just about the chicken or the pasta. It’s about the way it makes people feel cared for. The way it turns an ordinary Tuesday into something special. The way it brings everyone to the table, even the ones who usually eat in front of the TV.
So here’s my challenge to you: make this pasta. Make it for your family, your friends, or just for yourself on a night when you need a little extra comfort. Play with the veggies, try new herbs, make it your own. And when you do, share it with #PotPiePastaParty so we can all be inspired by your cozy creations.
