Our family tradition for my family is to have a pizza party for Christmas Eve every year and it’s a tradition I love. This year was an international pizza. Yes, my family is a little crazy, we had enchilada pizza and tika masala pizza.
It was so good and so fun! We changed this recipe a little from our enchiladas we have made previously on the blog, so if you liked those you will most definitely like this!

Sour Cream Beef Enchilada Pizza
Ingredients
- Pizza dough
- 1 cup of mozzarella
Shredded Beef
- 2.5 pounds of chuck roast
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 can of Dr. Pepper
- 1/2 large yellow onion chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 20 oz Chicken broth
- 1 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies

Directions
- Mix together chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Dry rub the meat and sear the edges in a skillet on medium-high heat.

- Make the Sour Cream Sauce: In a pot melt butter and put the flour in and create a roux. Then slowly whisk in the chicken broth. Last add in the sour cream and chilies.
- Roll out your pizza dough to about 10 inches in diameter. Spread a 1/2 cup of Sour Cream Sauce on the pizza dough.
- Next, put on mozzarella, you can add extra here if you’d like. Top with Shredded beef and more mozzarella.
- Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

💭 Final Thoughts
This Sour Cream Beef Enchilada Pizza proves that comfort food doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s hearty, flavorful, and versatile enough to be a weekday staple, a family favorite, or a “just because” indulgence. Plus, it’s the kind of recipe that makes everyone smile — and isn’t that the best kind of cooking?
Here’s the thing about pizza — it’s never just dinner. It’s the smell of beef simmering, the joy of sour cream swirling, the comfort of knowing you’ve got a dish that’s both playful and nostalgic. It’s the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve pulled off a dinner miracle without breaking a sweat.
And this Sour Cream Beef Enchilada Pizza? It’s a keeper. It’s savory, it’s cheesy, it’s indulgent, it’s fun. It’s the kind of recipe that makes you feel like you’ve turned pantry staples into something restaurant‑worthy. It’s hearty enough to feed a crowd, flexible enough to adapt to whatever toppings you’ve got hanging out in the fridge, and comforting enough to become the dish your family requests again and again.
But what I love most is how recipes like this bring us together. Food has that magic — it’s not just about eating, it’s about sharing. It’s about swapping tips, laughing over sauce‑splattered counters, and building little traditions that make life tastier. It’s about the kids sneaking extra bites when you’re not looking, the friends who ask for seconds, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing you’ve created something that feels like home.
So here’s my challenge to you: make this dish, share it with your people, and then tell me your twist. Did you add jalapeños? Did you sneak in pickled onions? Did you double the sour cream sauce just because you could? (No judgment — I’d be first in line for that version.) Maybe you turned it into nachos for game day, or gave it a holiday glow with cilantro. Whatever your spin, I want to hear about it.
💬 Reader prompt: Should we do a “Pizza Glow Series” next? I’m dreaming up taco pizza, BBQ chicken pizza, and maybe even mac & cheese pizza.
Until then, may your beef be juicy, your sour cream silky, your chilies fiery, your mozzarella melty, and your kitchen filled with laughter, love, and second helpings. Because at the end of the day, recipes like this aren’t just about cooking — they’re about celebrating the little joys that make life delicious.
And if you take nothing else from this post, let it be this: Sour Cream Beef Enchilada Pizza isn’t just dinner, it’s a lifestyle. 🍕🌮✨
