Homemade Salsa

Fresh garden tomatoes are my favorite, especially when you can make salsa! Homemade Salsa and chips are the best appetizers!

Homemade Salsa

Chips and homemade salsa are our favorite snacks. We love to make all the homemade things at our house.

When we had some garden tomatoes up for grabs we took them and made homemade salsa and marinara. Then we saved some to make BLT’s, which is the best!

Homemade Salsa

Ingredients

  • 15 oz of green chili’s
  • 1 (15 oz) can whole peeled tomatoes, don’t drain juices
  • 1/2 jalapeno, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 yellow onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons sugar

Directions

  1. This is easiest to do in a food processor but you can use a blender too.
  2. Place jalapeno and onion into the food processor.
  3. Process it for a few seconds.
  4. Add in the rest of the ingredients and pulse all for just a few more seconds, keeping it slightly chunky (not a puree).
  5. Put into a bowl with a lid and chill in the fridge for several hours or overnight is even better.

APPETIZER RECIPES

So so easy to make for a crowd! The mini croissants are toasted and flaky, baked with Dijon-honey, buttery goodness. WHOA.

Taco Breadsticks

Need an appetizer or an easy dinner? Taco Breadsticks are a winner.

Don’t you just want to grab one of those little piggies and take him for a swim in that cheesy chili dip? This is a perfect dish for the Super Bowl or any party that you might be throwing. Your guests will be singing your praises after their first taste.

  1. We’re know to have blizzards in my part of the world, and there’s nothing better than curling up in front of the fire with salsa and chips. I’ll be Pinning your recipe, thanks for sharing.
