  • To prepare the topping; combine all the ingredients in a small mixing bowl until crumbly. Set aside.
  • Spray a 9 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Remove the top of the rolls from the bottom rolls, keeping them connected. Place the buns on a baking sheet. Turn your oven on broil and toast the buns. Leave the door open on the stove so you can make sure not to burn the rolls. Set aside.
  • Turn the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, brown sugar, almonds, and the cinnamon.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture in an even layer on top of the bottom rolls. Top with the toasted top rolls. Pull each roll off creating individual sandwiches.

  • In a large bowl, add the eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and salt. Whisk well to combine. Dip each roll into the custard. Place the rolls into the baking dish on its side, make sure their close to each other. Crumble topping on top.
  • Bake in oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top!

* If you can’t find Hawaiian rolls, you can use potato rolls.
