Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos

I guess I have been on a Mexican kick lately! My family loves tacos and I love my slow cooker. It doesn’t matter what time a year, it makes life so much easier to feed your family.  The great thing about this recipe is that you can make tacos, salads or nachos. So whatever makes your family drool, it will work and it’s super easy!

Ingredients:
1 envelope Taco Seasoning
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thawed
1 16 ounce jar salsa
1/2 onion, chopped
1 can black beans, drained
1 juice of a lime

Directions:

  • Pour all the ingredients into a slow cooker and give it a stir to mix all the seasoning with the salsa.
  • Cook on high for 3 to 5 hours on high and 5 to 7 hours on low. You want to check the meat every once in a while because chicken can get over cooked in the slow cooker.
  • When its done, the chicken should shred easily and be ready for the tacos!
  • Now all you need is the  shells and the toppings!

I love when a recipe is so easy and so delicious at the same time! Enjoy!
