Fall Date Ideas (besides carving pumpkins for the millionth time…)

I’m pretty sure every single date I went on in the fall centered around carving pumpkins. To be perfectly honest, I hate getting gooey, so I  married the first kid who was a little more creative! (jk Ben) (But seriously though, even his jack-o-lanterns prove he’s creative because he’s done everything from a gentleman with a monocle, to a rotating “choose your face” pumpkin. (He had to do the rotating one three years in a row until it finally worked but he did it!)

Anyway, impress your lady or man with a something a little different this Autumn!

1. Have a bonfire up the canyon

2. Have an outdoor movie

3. Watch a local high school football game or support your Alma Mater

4. Host a Murder Mystery Party

5. Go four wheeling through the beautiful fall colored mountains

6. Go on a Hike

7. Get lost in a corn maze

8. Make caramel apples

9. Go horseback riding

10. Visit your county fair

11. Pick seasonal fruit and make homemade ice cream

12. Go shopping specifically for “Sweater Weather”

13. Turn out the lights and tell ghost stories

14. Celebrate November 13, World Kindness Day, and pay it forward

15. Host a board game night

16. Take a bike ride

17. Have a picnic

18. Fly a kite

19. Get cozy and go star gazing

  1. These are great ideas! I am really excited for Fall because it means we can do more outdoor stuff for date night. It's so hot in Florida during the summer, but during the Fall we like to go for picnics, walk on the beach or go downtown. Thanks for linking up with Hump Day Happenings!

  2. My husband and I already part of a weekly board game night! I'm missing tonight's because I'm sick, alas. We explored a corn maze my first autumn in Ohio, two years ago. I really want to go again this year!

  3. We really want to go on a date to a county fair, we usually take our kids but never go back just the two of us but I think it would be such a fun date! I love board game nights but it's been over a year since we've been to one so having one for ourselves is a nice idea…and a reason to buy more board games. Great list, pinning & sharing this!

  4. Amber, thanks for the post.
    These are some great ideas.
Yesterday my husband surprised me after he got off work. He went to the dollar store and picked up several scary halloween decorations and then made me close my eyes and pick one st a time, and we decorated for not much money.

  5. Such cute ideas! We love having bonfires on the beaches out here in Montauk in the summers. Would be so cute to have one this fall.
    Thanks for the ideas!!
