Lay the roast on tin foil that is in a cross pattern. Soak the meat with the liquid smoke (about half the bottle). Cover meat with the seasoning of your choosing. Put a lot of seasoning because the roast is huge!
Take the tin foil from opposite sides and close them around the roast. It doesn’t have to look pretty, you just want to seal all the juices inside! Bake on 250 to 275 degrees. 6 to 8 hours, depending how big your roast is.
Once the meat is cooked, shred the meat with two forks. It will be soooooo tender that it will just fall apart!!
Barbecue Sauce Recipe:
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
5 Tablespoons brown sugar
5 Tablespoons sugar
1/2 Tablespoon black pepper
1/2 Tablespoon onion flakes
1/2 Tablespoon mustard
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  • Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer.
  • Cook uncovered, stirring frequently for 1 hour.

This sauce is so good it would taste great on other meats! My husband is addicted to this SAUCE!
