It’s Sunday, which means we are DEFINITELY making treats! Earlier this week I bought some pre-made pizza crusts so that we’d have a quick dinner alternative to eating out.

So, today after church, we threw together some yummy pizza, and of course, since we had another crust leftover, we had to make a dessert pizza. In the past, my kids have loved putting marshmallows and chocolate on theirs, but today, since I had lots of yummy Granny Smith Apples, I thought we’d try a caramel apple pizza.

It was SO easy and quick and only took 5 ingredients to make, not counting the ice cream of course. What says Fall more than a yummy caramel apple? Nothing I say!

Caramel Apple Dessert Pizza

4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored, sliced thinly

1 bag of pre-made Kraft caramels

1/2 cup of butter

1 t. of Cinnamon

1 pre-made pizza crust

Directions:

Peel apples. I used my handy dandy Pampered Chef Apple Peeler. It’s so fun for potatoes too!

Then sauté apples in 1/2 stick of butter in a heavy skillet on the stovetop until soft. Add Cinnamon. Set them aside in a separate bowl. Next, unwrap pre-made caramels, and add to the skillet you just used to sauté your apples.

Add 1 teaspoon of water, just to help them melt more quickly. When your caramels are completely melted. Add your apples back into your skillet and stir gently until caramel coats each apple.

Pour on top of your pizza crust and voila! You’re done! I served mine with vanilla ice cream! So yummy! But, it’s equally as great without it!

And, of course, we had to add powdered sugar!
