GRAB YOUR APRON, YOUR INNER SUNDAY‑MORNING ENERGY, AND YOUR “I CAN TURN ANY RECIPE INTO A MOMENT” CONFIDENCE — because today’s recipe is sweet, symbolic, simple, and so melt‑in‑your‑mouth delicious that your family may actually start calling you The Crescent Roll Queen of Utah County.

We’re making RESURRECTION ROLLS — the warm, gooey, cinnamon‑sugar‑kissed treats that are as meaningful as they are magical. These rolls puff up beautifully, hide a sweet surprise inside, and come out of the oven golden, fragrant, and absolutely irresistible. They’re perfect for Easter, Sunday brunch, family devotionals, or honestly… any day you want a little miracle in your kitchen.

Let’s talk meaningful treats. Not the “I bought this at the store and instantly regretted it” treats. Not the “this tastes like sadness and preservatives” treats. Not the “I tried to bake something fancy and now I’m emotionally exhausted” treats.

I’m talking about REAL treats — the kind that make your kitchen smell like comfort, the kind that make your family gather around like cinnamon‑seeking ninjas, the kind that make you feel like a domestic goddess even if you’re still wearing yesterday’s leggings.

These Resurrection Rolls are:

  • warm
  • gooey
  • buttery
  • cinnamon‑sweet
  • symbolic
  • kid‑approved
  • adult‑approved
  • holiday‑worthy
  • weeknight‑worthy
  • and honestly? A little bit magical

They’re the kind of treat that makes people ask, “HOW DID YOU MAKE THESE?” The kind that makes your kitchen feel warm and welcoming. The kind that makes you feel like you could host a whole devotional — even if your hair is in a messy bun and you’re using a spatula as a microphone.

Perfect for: • Easter morning • Sunday school • Family night • Brunch • “I need something delicious immediately” moments

💬 Reader prompt: Are you team “extra cinnamon sugar” or team “extra gooey center”?

Lisa had activity day on Tuesday and her leaders did this amazing activity to learn about the Resurrection. It’s not my week to share but I thought this was such a neat object lesson to do with your kids.

You start out with putting a marshmallow inside the roll. As they bake , the marshmallow melts, leaving an empty “tomb”. They are really easy and fun for the whole family to make and a great way to teach your little ones about the resurrection. P.S. the rolls are yummy!

💭 Final Thoughts

These Resurrection Rolls are everything you want in a treat: warm, gooey, symbolic, nostalgic, comforting, and ridiculously satisfying. They’re the kind of recipe that brings people together, sparks conversation, and makes everyone feel like they’re part of the fun.

They’re simple enough for a weeknight, meaningful enough for a holiday, and joyful enough for those “I need something delicious immediately” days.

There’s something magical about a treat that tastes like it came from a charming bakery but was made in your own kitchen. Something about crescent dough, cinnamon sugar, and a disappearing marshmallow swirling together that feels timeless, comforting, and just a little bit miraculous.

These Resurrection Rolls are the kind of recipe that becomes a tradition — the treat your family requests again and again, the one you bring to neighbors, the one you whip up when you want your home to smell like happiness.

It’s the kind of dessert moment that makes people linger at the table.
The kind that makes your kitchen feel warm and welcoming.
The kind that makes you feel like you’ve mastered the art of cozy, effortless baking — even if you still set timers for everything.

So here’s your mission:

Bake these rolls. Share them with your people. Tell me your twist. Did you add chocolate Did you add jam Did you sneak one before serving (I support all of it.)

Until then, may your rolls puff perfectly, your cinnamon sugar sparkle, your marshmallows melt beautifully, and your kitchen overflow with laughter, love, and second helpings.

  1. The marshmallow represents Christ's body that was covered with ointment ( butter) and spices ( cinnamon sugar). Good way to discuss why the placed Christ's body in a tomb and how they were treated. The girls are pretty funny…you never know what will make an impression and stay with them.

  2. My Sunday School Class loved making these last year and have already asked me If we we're gonna make those Jesus is risen rolls…..lol and yes we are Thanks
