Bathroom Love!

As a girl, you spend a lot of time in the bathroom getting ready, so it makes a difference how it looks and feels. It’s been a few years since we have given our bathrooms a little love! It was time! Plus, we are in the process of getting our home ready to put on the market to sell. I absolutely loved my bathroom when we repainted it a few years ago but something major needed to be done this time!

Our bathtub looked like a hobo had been living in it for years and the tile screamed 80’s!  I knew this wasn’t going to be a great selling point! I have always been afraid of tackling the bathroom project. We called several remodel companies to get a quote on how much it would cost. The numbers are crazy! I can’t give them my first born because I think she wouldn’t go for that! The second plan was to order the supplies ourselves and get a great handyman to help!

When our handyman, Scott Baker, told me to order a bathtub, I freaked! It hadn’t occurred to me that I could do such a thing! I know, I’m a slow learner. The thing is, I realized that I’m probably not the only one.  I decided that I would share with you what we did and maybe it can make your journey a little easier.

I ordered everything from Home Depot online. The great thing about this is that they deliver your items to your home and most of the products have free shipping! We ordered tub, toilet, flooring, mirror, and light fixtures. I love shopping from the comfort of my home because I can compare prices and the selection of products is larger online. Delivery dates vary and can take up to two or more weeks to be delivered. So be prepared!

I have the best family ever! The boys came over and helped my hubby with demolition to cut down on expenses. The time spent was a couple of hours.

The boys weren’t able to remove the tile on there own so we left that to the professionals!

Once we had it all ready and the supplies had arrived, we had Scott Baker form 2 big birds to come and finish the job! He was able to do the job in a timely matter and he had a great eye for detail!

The best part about this process is that we were able to get a new bathroom remodel for a reasonable price!

We went with a lighter grey on the walls and white floorboards. I absolutely love my mirror but that was one thing that took forever to get! We also went with a linoleum flooring that looks like wood. I love it! The look is incredible and it’s waterproof!

I love my vanity and was so surprised that I could get such a high-quality piece online! Since we didn’t with the whole back wall covered with vanity, it makes the bathroom feel bigger.

It’s crazy, the bathroom almost makes me not want to move!
