Yogurt is a great food for kids of all ages, and Stonyfield Organic Yobaby Yogurt is where it’s at!
My son is the messiest eater on the planet! If he doesn’t like something, it gets thrown all over the kitchen. If he does like it, then it ends up all over him! If I have to choose between the two, then I, of course, want the mess to be all over him, and for him to like his food. We got the opportunity to partner with Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt and write this post for them, and he absolutely loved it, as you can tell!
Did you know that yogurt can be eaten as early as 6 months old? I didn’t realize this because while cow’s milk has to be consumed after babies turn one year old, yogurt is different because of the live and active cultures helping to digest the lactose. Yogurt would make such a great first food because you don’t have to mash anything up! It’s already ready to go!
Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt is pretty great. It actually was the first organic baby yogurt ever and hit the shelves 19 years ago. That’s 1999 people! It’s thick and creamy, which I like because that means it’s not as runny as other types of yogurt, aka not as messy. It’s the #1 pediatrictian recommended yogurt for babies and kids, and it’s not hard to see why. Because YoBaby is certified organic, that means it’s always made without artificial flavors or preservatives, toxic persistent pesticides, artificial hormones, antibiotics, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Another cool thing about YoBaby is that the cups are made of PLA (meaning, made from plants!) because Stonyfield heard from moms that they were concerned with polystyrene packaging. Plus plant-based packaging has a lower carbon footprint. Stonyfield Organic YoBaby also has BB-12 probiotics for happy tummies. BB-12® has been shown to have a digestive health benefit when consumed regularly as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. AKA this yogurt promotes beneficial gut bacteria and regular, soft stools!
We love the idea of benefiting soft stools over here! My two-year-old has regular constipation issues and it is so hard as a mom to watch him struggle. I also love that the cups are made from plants. It is hard to know these days what form of plastic is okay and what is not. Plus with a messy eater I just can’t bring myself to give up paper towels, so reducing my carbon footprint another way is definitely a win-win for me.
Be sure to try Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt for your little ones!
