Happy New Year! I hope you all had an amazing holiday season. My Christmas decorations are down and I’m ready to start the New Year. It’s Friday, and it’s time for me to share a few of my Favorite things!
Let’s get started!
Jackbox games: We have never been a family that loves games. The other night my son, Ben, called me and asked if we were up for a challenge. We all have those nights that you don’t have anything to do and there is nothing on TV. The thing I do know is that I will do almost anything to hang out with my kids and grandkids! Jackbox has a variety of games that you can play on your TV, using your smartphone as your player piece. Easy setup and you can make the games family friendly. You know you have a hit when your 15 year old wants to play! We haven’t laughed so hard playing a game before!
hello, new year challenge: I really hate January! It’s so cold and seems to be such a let down after the holidays. Plus, we had so much fun with you guys doing the Stress Less Holiday Challenge that we decided that January was the perfect time on focusing on the New Year! I have never been great at New Year resolutions but if I can make small changes a little at a time, I know I can be successful! They are 10 minutes tasks that you can do each day. We will be focusing on YOU, home, budget, organizing and so much more! The key is, we can’t do it without you! We love hearing your comments, tips and life experiences. We can learn so much from each other! Please join our Facebook group; hello, new year, and we can be successful together!
Family Traditions: We are so blessed that all our kids live so close to us. We love spending time with each other and the best gift that I could ever receive for Christmas is hearing and seeing my kids enjoying each other. I love family traditions! I think it’s what helps define your family and lets everyone know what you are all about! One thing that we do each year, is to make a homemade pinata. I had great plans on making this pinata into a glorious tree but my husband and 15 year old had other plans! They decided we were making a lump of coal! It’s the only Christmas object that we have never done before.
My husband makes the toughest pinatas in town and it takes an army to break it! One by one the kids line up to have their turn whacking the pinata. The glee in their eyes is so cute when they make the first hole.
Boho Pocket Dress: I love this dress! It’s my pick for this week. The material is so soft. It has pockets! You could wear it with booties or heels and you will be the stand out at any event! Head on over to Lou Lou Girls Shop right now! We are having a 35% sale on everything! You can fill your closet with super cute clothes!
It seems inevitable but the decorations have to come down how sad. It is great finding a game you could play and enjoy with your son. I must get that Boho dress too.
Jackbox sounds like there’s a game that everyone will love! We always try to come up with our own challenges for the new year, and this year is no different. I like your plans for becoming more successful.
We are a family that loves family game night! I’ll have to look into Jackbox games. I’ve never heard of it.
I am so the opposite, I LOVE January! things finally get back to normal – the house, the activities, and there’s less pressure to do things you might not want to. But I do hate the cold!
I haven’t heard of jack in a box, but what a great idea! My family are usually board game people, but it would be awesome to do something different.
Jackbox sounds quite interesting even to men who gets bored easily with TV games. The boho dress is beautiful
