Grilling Season is Here

Grilling Season is Here! It’s finally here…Summer! Our family loves the outdoors and especially loves the smell and the tastes that the grill brings to our family table. It was like Christmas at our house about a month and a half ago when the big delivery truck dropped off our Camp Chef Pellet Grill!

Grilling Season is Here

You know something is special when you aren’t even home and the boys are finding a way to set up the grill and be the first one to use it!

I was working at a Mother’s day boutique and when I arrived home, dinner was waiting! The grill has had quite the workout! It’s so fun and easy to use that the men in my family have been fighting over who cooks next!

It’s never been easier to make sure your meat is done. The Dual LED temperature readout let’s you know when it’s the right. I don’t know about you but we are always second guessing if it’s done or not!

Over Labor Day, we were so excited because we had the chance to go to Hawaii for the first time! Our daughter graduated from high school and we thought it was a great time to getaway. It was our second daughter’s birthday. Every birthday, I let my kids pick a birthday dinner, and since she is all grown up, she didn’t go to Hawaii with us but she still wanted her birthday dinner. Even before we had the pellet grill, she has always wanted ribs, almost every birthday!

We left the ribs in the fridge and the birthday dinner went on without us! The report I received was, they were the best ribs they had ever had!

I didn’t want to miss out, so as soon as we got home me made this incredible pork loin. It was so full of flavor and so juicy! All we did to prepare it, was to rub it with salt, pepper, brown mustard and made a few slices into the meat so we could put in a few garlic cloves. We wrapped it in plastic wrap and then we let it sit in the fridge overnight.

I always thought that the only thing you could cook on a grill was meat! That is a myth!  We made the BEST pizza and bread sticks on Sunday that I have ever tasted! I was worried that it would have a overpowering smoked flavor but what it did was enhance the taste. So easy to make!

All we did is use our favorite homemade pizza dough and then piled on the toppings! We made 3 different ones in all. The one shown here was a barbecue chicken pizza. Instead of marinara sauce, we used our favorite barbecue sauce, grilled chicken, onions, pineapple, bacon and tons of Mozzarella cheese! The easiest way to get to the grill, is to use the back side of a cookie sheet, covered with parchment paper. The paper lets you slide it right on to the grill without losing your toppings.  Set temperature to 450 degrees, close lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

I suggest that you use a ceramic pizza pan but we usually use a ceramic tile from the local hardware store.

If  you still don’t know what to get your dad for Father’s day, I would highly suggest the Camp Chef Woodwind Pellet Grill! The truth is, if you buy this for the man in your life, your really getting the best present for yourself! We are seriously grilling almost every weekend. What’s you favorite thing to make on the grill?
