Today was our first snow of the season and the first thing I thought was I wanted a cup of hot cocoa! Hot cocoa reminds me of when I was a little kid. I used to think it didn’t matter what kind of hot cocoa it was I loved it, until I had Stephen’s and it put hot cocoa on a new level! It’s rich, creamy and quite simply the best cocoa I have ever had! They have numerous flavors that never get old! They also have a special selection of delicious ciders and not-so-traditional flavors make the perfect drink for any holiday!
There are many different ways to use Stephen’s this holiday season. First, it makes an amazing gift for neighbors or teachers. Second, you can use it to make delicious recipes. Lastly, you can use it for my Top 8 list of Winter Activities!
#1 – Building Snow Sculptures – This is not limited to building a snowman, get out there and be creative! Build a castle, a dragon or Hogwarts! When you’re finished be sure you warm up with hot cocoa!
#2 – Winter Scavenger Hunt – I used to love Scavenger Hunts and nothing is more fun! Put the clues in something waterproof and place the clues in places that your family shares memories. You also could turn it into a service scavenger hunt where you do service for people and then they will give your kids the clue for the next location.
#3 – Caroling – I’ve heard that music is they best way to spread holiday cheer for all to hear!
#4 – Ice Blocking – Go to your local grocery store and purchase an ice block for a dollar. Make sure to bring a towel to put on top of your ice block and then wear clothes you don’t mind staining.
#5 – Snow ball fight – Build a fort and go to town!
#6 Sledding – If you don’t like walking up the hill, in Park City they have a place where there is a lift that will pull you and your tube up the hill!
#7 Igloo Building – Pinterest has ruined my husband! Literally, he is more active of his Pinterest than I am! His goal is to build that multi-color igloo for his favorite Nieces and Nephews!
#8 Winter Marshmallow Roast – Matt and I when we were first dating took me to a fire pit and we roasted marshmallows and drank hot cocoa! This is a fun activity that does cost a lot or require a lot of effort, but it is a great time to talk!
All of the above activities are great with hot cocoa! There are many different Stephen’s Gourmet signature cocoa flavors:
