  4. 1 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 cup chopped cranberries
  6. 1 egg
  7. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  8. 1/2 white sugar
  9. 1 cup buttermilk
  10. 1/3 cup butter, softened
  11. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  12. 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  13. STREUSEL
  14. 1/4 cup flour
  15. 3 Tablespoons white sugar
  16. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  17. 3 Tablespoons butter, cold and cubed
  18. GLAZE
  19. 1 cup powdered sugar
  20. 3 Tablespoons butter, melted
  21. 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan, and set aside.
  2. BREAD: In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the cranberries, set aside.
  3. In a different bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add the egg to the mixture. Stir in the buttermilk, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  4. Slowly pour the butter mixture to the dry ingredients, and gently whisk until there are no lumps. Do not over mix.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. STREUSEL: In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the streusel. Make sure that the butter has turned into pea size crumbs by using a pastry cutter, your hands, or even two forks.
  7. Top evenly over the top of the batter and then gently pressing down on the streusel, so it will stick to the batter.
  8. Bake bread for 50 to 60 minutes. Poke the center of the bread with a toothpick. If it comes out clean it's done. Let cool in pan for about 10 minutes and then remove to cool completely.
  9. GLAZE: In small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the glaze using a whisk. Then drizzle over bread.
