Because my 6 month old is now in the baby food stage, a green smoothie is a really easy way for me, my baby, and my toddler to eat the same thing without much mess! This is a simple green smoothie “recipe” that I follow for a realistic approach to having a green smoothie almost everyday.
There are a lot of pre-planned and pre-portioned green smoothie recipes out there. But I know that unless it’s as easy as pouring cereal in a bowl, I’m not going to convince myself to do it every morning. Instead of following a specific recipe, I follow these guidelines and no matter what I put in it, it tastes good, and gives me a lot of nutrients!
1/4 fruits (fresh or frozen)
1/4 other veggies
Spoonful of Chia Seeds
Add a little Juice
