I am one of the Activity Days leaders in my ward and my co-leader is amazing! She always has the cutest ideas. This was something she made for all the girls when we taught them how to lead music. They thought it was adorable and so do I so I had to share! Here is a Activity Days- Leading Music Handout
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Black parchment paper
White paper
Black Marker
Scissors
Glue stick
Print out of how to lead music (I’m not sure where she got this one from but I know there is one in the back of the hymn book you could copy)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Fold the black paper in half and cut it into the shape of a piano.
- Cut a strip of white paper and glue it to the bottom.
- Draw on the piano lines with black marker.
- Place your handout inside!
We simply handed out this handout and talked about leading the music. Then we sang songs from the Children’s Song Book that were in the various time signatures and helped them lead it. The girl’s had a lot of fun and picked up on it really quickly.
XOXO
