My cute Lisa turned 13 in December and boy can you tell that she is a teenager! Over night, she went from being 3 inches shorter than her 17 year old sister to being 3 inches taller! Now she has braces and like most teenagers her cute little face is having a war! We have tried so many products to help her defeat those nasty zits but haven’t found anything that has helped. Last week, when I was doing one of my many shopping trips to Walmart, I ran across AcneFree. It’s a gull line of products to help treat and control acne. I decided to try it and help Lisa get healthier looking skin so she can put her best face forward!

Since we wanted to try AcneFree, I have been coming up with a routine that can make it easy for her to keep up on her hygiene and still be the active teen that I love! Here’s my list and maybe it can help the tween or teen in your life!

  1. Shower or Bath Daily: You should bathe daily to wash the dirt and oil off your skin. This is so important if you are exercising.
  2. Brush your Teeth: This seems so simple but a lot times they forget at night. 2 minutes total, twice a day. Brushing will keep their teeth strong and healthy.
  3. Sleep: This doesn’t seem to be a problem on the weekends! But in the week nights they need to make sure they are getting 8 1/2 to 9 hours each night.
  4. Power Naps: A 20 to 30 minute power nap can recharge them.
  5. Brushing Your Hair: Lisa has thick, coarse hair and gets tangles so easily. If they brush through it just enough get them out.
  6. Deodorant: Every girl sweats differently, so its so important to find the right deodorant that works for you.
  7. Keep skin clear: Teen’s and tween’s skin get oiler, especially in the “T zone”. for proper skin care, use an acne products twice a day, and discourage them from touching their face, it spreads bacteria. Lisa will be using AcneFree.
  8. Wash the Oil Out of Your Hair: Teen’s hair isn’t always easy to manage, so shampooing at least every other day can keep it under control. Clean hair can also decrease breakouts!
I’m pretty excited because AcneFree has a New Sonic Advanced Cleaning Duo! It has purifying facial cleansing brush plus oil-free purifying cleanser. The oil free cleanser clears blackheads and acne breakouts. The brush delivers 8,000 pulsations per minute! The Pulsations are channeled through a soft, comfortable silicone head to gently exfoliate your skin and remove dirt and oil. It’s gentle enough that you can use it every day! They also have Daily skin therapy pads that are great to unclog pores and tone your skin! You don’t want to forget about the Daily skin therapy complexion perfecting cream. It gently renews the skin’s appearance for a clearer complexion! If you have a teen, I know that you totally understand why this is so important! Good luck teen parents!
