How to Bake Perfectly Crisp Bacon

I have always been fan of bacon, but I’m not a fan of bacon grease splattered all over my kitchen! Can I get an amen!

I have recently become a huge fan of these silicone baking sheets. They make my cookies turn out perfect, and now I have been cooking my bacon on them. Perfect every time I tell you! Perfect!

This works with thick-sliced bacon, and I’m sure it would work with thin/ regular bacon but I haven’t timed it like I have with the thick-sliced bacon, so you’ll have to watch yours.

Start with a silicone mat on a baking sheet. You can use foil, but I really love the silicone!

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Arrange bacon slices so they’re not touching.

Bake for 15- 17 minutes.  This depends on the amount of bacon you have on your pan. A full pan like this will take 17 minutes. If you have less, or thinner bacon, you’re looking at closer to 15. Just keep an eye on it after 15 minutes.

After the bacon comes out of the oven, place it on paper towels so that the grease can drip off. I also put a paper towel right on the baking sheet to help soak the up the grease before it gets thick.

Voila! Perfectly Crisp bacon without the grease splatters on the stove top!

  1. Yummo, I love cooking bacon in the oven. I had read on another blog post to put the bacon on a sheet in a cold oven and bake it at 375 for 35 minutes. That's how I do it and boys love it. I love being able to instantly cleanup by throwing away the foil. Thanks for sharing with Small Victories Sunday Linkup! Pinned to our linkup board.
