Freezer Ready Hash-browns

Matt and I thought we were pretty smart, trying to save money by getting a Costco card. However, I think it is causing us to either waste money or make us fat. We bought potatoes in bulk and in case you are wondering, we wasted a bunch. Then, Matt had a brilliant idea! I LOVE hash-browns! Pretty sure it’s genetic, because so does Momma Kim! Anyways, Jess gave us this sweet vegetable slicer and so we sliced up the rest of our potatoes before they went bad! Matt now has hash-browns ready anytime I want them, even at night time! Who doesn’t love Breakfast for dinner?! Well they are lying to you, because literally everyone does.

Slice or shred about 6 cups of potatoes and rinse in cold water to remove starch until the water runs clear. Then put the the potatoes in a freezer ziploc bag with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Shake up the bag until the oil is spread evenly. Place in the freezer.

When you pull the potatoes out of the freezers, cook in a hot pan with 2 tablespoons water to defrosted the potatoes. Then season with butter and seasoning. Cook until crispy and golden brown!!
